I'm also on POCO F3 but using other telco.

Same issue with you. Only show 4G. But speed test indicate connected to 5G with 5G speed. Talking to the operator both telco and xiaomi make me crazy.

Btw, i resolved by update my MIUI to the latest version. I move from 12.5.1 to 12.5.5 then 13.0.5. The issue resolved once i've updated to the latest MIUI 13.

in case u're interested in the explanation, probably in the old firmware, 5G band is still locked.
firmware are almost always region, or even country specific because they do no need to unlock bands that r not used in that country.
that will reduce the time & battery for the modem to search for band signal that is not in used.

Just ported from Digi to U Mobile, for me I am very satisfied with the speed and coverage overall. Now waiting to use 5G which is not enabled yet on iPhone. A big improvement from few years back!
