QUOTE(JuneResources @ Jun 25 2020, 05:24 PM) I check my one is "New U Prepaid plan".. But funny is my umobile apps is "power prepaid plan"... I think apps got error bugs for it.. Is it? That means yours does not deduct of your main credit balance as PPU, is it? But my one still can get connections. However, it won't be so fast but you will feel your balance credit cent per cent siki siki gone.. That happen on last 4 months before MCO start.. I think they did not include the old data plan in. Nope, it did not for me. There's no point of using the basic internet when the speed is crawling. Like literally it works for a minute or so, then straight dead.

The seven, aged between 38 and 44, including a director and the technical staff of three companies, were brought before magistrate Shah Wira Abdul Halim.
He allowed an application by the MACC to remand the suspects for four days beginning Wednesday (July 22).
It is learnt that the suspects, through three companies, provided SMS content service.
The service entailed paid SMS to handphone users nationwide.
The companies are said to have sent SMSes providing promotional and other services to telco customers.
Sources said handphone users were charged between 50 sen and RM4 for each SMS without them knowing or agreeing to the charges.
"The syndicates target prepaid card users as the charges would not be reflected in the bill.
"The syndicate is also believed to be making claims (on SMSes) to telecommunication companies as service charge. This means they raked in profit from both sides (customer and telco)," said a source.
The source also said the syndicate is believed to have bribed telco companies' staff to provide them with customers' personal data.
The syndicate is believed to have been operating for the past five years and raked profits amounting to millions of ringgit.
MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Azam Baki confirmed the arrest, saying the case was being investigated.PUTRAJAYA: Seven individuals have been remanded to allow the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to investigate the activities of a syndicate allegedly raking in millions of ringgit by charging mobile users without their knowledge.

Looks like there should be less such SMS money scams affecting prepaid subscribers. azhar75 MakNok. OT » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « God damn.. "Umobile" staff kena tangkap. BTW, why are you only posting this news in Umobile thread? Should post in other telco threads as well or create a new thread outside of this thread since it involves other telcos as well.

QUOTE(lurkingaround @ Oct 26 2020, 04:40 PM) . I just tested my "unlimited"-data postpaid GX50 phone plan = can watch Youtube videos smoothly at 1080p/FHD and fastdotcom speed test is 3.2Mbps. During peak hours = network congestion, GX subscribers may not get this speed. Maybe the Twitch website or app purposely limit your download speed, in order to push you to subscribe for its premium services. ....... Certain free video-streaming websites similarly speed and data-limit(eg can only download 250MB of video-data at 0.5Mbps per day) the videos we can download and store on our device for offline viewing = gotta pay subscription for faster and more download of their videos. . Nah, definitely from Umobile side. The free 1GB, I can watch 1080p60 stream @ 1.5MBps anytime. Once GX plan kicks in, straight become useless & have to watch @ 480p or 360p.

He Would claim his GX plan run smoothly with 1080p.. no buffering etc. U don't like? Port out other telco.. simple.. More u talk... Later would be branded as working for rival telco. Out to spoil U Mobile name.... I don't even bother to reply after he add a screenshot of a YouTube video to his reply. 😂😂 LoL

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Feb 28 2024, 11:14 AM) Good news 👌 Because after the Merger... The services really sucks big... U Mobile seems better & stable It's a win-lose situation IMO. Obviously users from both network with bad coverage will gain but for users with good coverage, will they see their data speed dropped?
