There's an interesting development for my 3rod-ed xbox, it went dead 5 weeks ago. I recently decided to open the whole thing up and fix it. Xclamp fix had been done btw and it lasted for more than a year.

So I cleaned up everything and wanted to do a reflow of the GPU. But b4 that I decided to try my luck and reapply the thermal paste then turn it on see if it runs. First few attempts resulted in a black screen or the startup screen with artifacts(no 3 red lights though).
Then I try it  again last nite and it came back ALIVE! Play tested for a few hours without problems! Turn it on again this morning and its still good!

Now to see how long it will last b4 it fails again.
