Thanks for this awesome guide mr Gurdian. It works. drool.gif
I have successfully revived my dead 360 by mostly following this guide (I did take some detours here and there). Great job Gurdian!!! rclxms.gif

As stated somewhere in this thread, the washers and bolts can be found at jalan ipoh. The shop is actually quite easy to find. If you're coming from Chow Kit, go into jalan ipoh and head straight on until you see a public bank on your right hand-side. Keep right. The shop is on the block behind public bank. You should look for Advance Bolts & Fasteners. The cost for those nylon washers is around 16 sen apiece. Metal ones are 1 sen (though you dont need metal ones if you're following this guide).

As for the arctic silver 5, it is very hard to find nowadays, so you can substitute it with other thermal compound. Mr rezalida recommended me coolermaster. But somehow, by sheer luck (and through unconventional means) , I managed to get my hands on some AS5. So, if you're in the Klang Valley and in need for AS5 for your 360 surgical purposes, just drop me a PM. biggrin.gif

Now the arctic cleaner is a bit of a problem. I cant find any on our local shores. Even tried selling my soul to the devil but still no dice. So what I did was I used some good 'ol Jack Daniels to clean up the mess on the heatsinks and CPU/GPU. Make sure you use it neat. None of that coke or on-the-rocks business. wink.gif

For the torx screwdrivers, the best bargain is at jalan pasar. You'll find loads of them there. A t10 and a t9 would cost you around RM6 or 7.

And please read the 'Director's Cut' section of this guide. Over heating the console is actually an essential step. And if you ever encounter a 0020 after putting the washers and bolts, that maybe caused by the tightness of the screws. Just tweak around with them until you find the right tension.

So good luck to those who wants to deal with their 3ROD DIY-Style. It's not really that hard. And to those who are not willing to go through this path, just send your consoles to the trained professionals from this community for help. I'm sure they're willing to accomodate. smile.gif

Thanks again, Gurdian for this guide.
A special Thank you to rezalida for those helpful hints. biggrin.gif

P/S:
I was just kidding with the Jack Daniels stuff. Nope, I didnt use JD for a cleaner. I substituted Arctic Cleaner with the alcohol used to clean tape head decks. You can find it in any AV store. Cost around RM3.50 (in jln pasar its like RM2.50). But if you use it, be prepared for a whole lot of scrubbing and make sure you have enough cotton buds and wool. whistling.gif
