pink book is mother book(pregnant women). basically it is for compilation of all the medical record and medical test done in gov clinic. The blood test alone doctor said RM1,600.

it is good to have if you plan to deliver in gov hospital as usually gov doctors write detail and important stuff inside, easy to be read by doctors thus saving time during follow up and delivery and emergency.
there's baby book also.......but that is for after delivery........basically blue or red color depending on baby gender, and a record of all medical check up, test, immunization, hospitalization(if any), baby growth chart etc etc....
it is not that doctors in gov hospital don't trust private doctors..........just that sometimes there's too little documentation.....
but there are bad doctors out there.........on the ultrasound documentation only record baby head size and nothing else......
