Going one size up is better imho. Improves the grip. But too big the upsize you will trade for slower acceleration, higher tyre wear, higher tyre noise, higher tyre prices, more bodyroll if ur tyre width/wall ratio isn't compensated, heavier steering maneuvering at slow speeds.

a friend of mine suggesteed this size 205/50/r16. but ive no idea how i would look like in my city

I know he have keyless car. Sooooooo... what I say correct la..  all car got key even for 'KEYLESS'. Less doesn't mean don't have any key at all.

TBH, I found out some car owner including my auntie only know their car have key after use the car for 2 years. They know when need to change the remote battery. LOL.  doh.gif

Pre FL cut off is 190km/h. My friend change the gear to manual and modified the ECU, so can do more than 190km/h.
*
Ahh i see. why change to manual when u have semi-manual gear to city.. hmm.gif either that or i dont understand what u say

QUOTE(babylon52281 @ Oct 12 2018, 02:23 PM)
Well ur friend is not wrong. If you insist to go for PS4, that's the smallest size in its range. Anything more, and the fatter tyre will hit sidewall when steering. Even at 205, the cons are as per my earlier statement.
Haha! The 220kmph speedo limit is just there to make us excited. But to unlock that limiter, you have to transplant Civic 1.5T engine into the City.
*
so is it a good thing or a bad thing to change the tyre size according to my pal's suggestion?
u said it'll hit the wall when we turn? mcm red light to not got for that tyre size je.

ahaaa i wish bro. if got money than can change the enjine... im just dreaming to own a FK2 one day.. haiz

Pre FL doesn't have paddle shift. Actually I also want to buy manual but City in Malaysia doesn't have.

I use 205/50/16 tire. no issue.

Thanks for the feedback bro! #CITY-ZENS

As someone said, 205 is still ok-ish. Just don't upsize any further. But at the same time, be prepared for the cons that I mentioned (minus touching the sidewall). Another cons is you may detect a higher fuel consumption. It will definitely be higher but you may or may not be sensitive about it...
*
understood bro. yea im aware that wider tire + bigger rims = more weight and more fuel consumption.
just surveying the tire and rim size now. am just gonna use the stock for a year or two before
changing it.

or just wait for my current tire to wear off.

Ha, I don't think I will ever reach that speed. I cannot help imagining what happens if I burst a tyre or skid at that speed.
