Not really. 4k is quite sufficient to own a City comfortably, as long the other expenses are also within means. Otherwise, if the other expenditures are unavoidable, no point to pay so much for a depreciating asset when there's the need to pay for parents, bring gf go dating, holidays, movies, buy her presents, etc, pay house installments, and must remember to save as well.
In life priorities, car shouldn't rank so high except get those with adequate safety features.
Savings and investment is my main priority and hence A city will do for now..i can just live with the saga actually but the lack of safety features in the saga is a big factor for me in changing to the city/civic.
