I was thinking to replace the beam and put ultra racing bar at my favourite under cherry tree mechanic workshop.
But thinking i still have some warranty left, i think better to do at SC for now  hmm.gif

My friend who is a member in the honda hybrid fb group showed me, got one guy replaced his city hybrid’s rear axle beam via warranty claim at SC.

In the invoice, the rear axle beam replacement was quoted RM3700. shocking.gif shakehead.gif rclxub.gif

How can SC be ripping off HM when it is HM that determined that part pricing? Whatmore SC can only submit the request for warranty replacement, it is HM that determines whether to proceed or ask SC to give stupid reasons to customer why it was rejected.

Does your problem being solved after you claim the rear axle beam? Lately I saw a few owners saying that damn noise came back again after replacement was done. Better HM admit its their fault & recall all honda city lar. An almost 90k car with such lousy quality.

I am probably going to be one of those few owners soon. My 2nd rear axle sounding is becoming more obvious. Likely will change again either end 2020 or somewhere 2021.

The noise returns after 6 months with less than 8k travel distance. Scheduled to return for checking again on mid Aug.

Pulled the trigger and went for Michelin XM2+ 175/65 instead of what I intended (185/60) a few days ago. The workshop adviced against upsizing as dynamics might be compromised.

Lazada price, dunno expensive or not but at least didnt spanar me with camber nut BS.

Previous OEM tyres did nearly 45,000km with <1mm thread left

My first 100km assessment. Quiet, really quiet, road noise cut by a noticeable volume but upon start rolling there is a sticky kinda sound if I wind down the window. Not sure if its mainly because of the tyres or the nitro gas. OTOH pickup seems slow to accelerate compared to OEM Goodyears it replaced.

P.S: Apparently I got a cashback of RM40 into my ewallet, so ngam got this Michelin promo until end of today. So total damage is RM 860. Not too bad I think.
