Hi All,

Wanna ask something.
I have a City V 2016, lately for driver and passenger's mirror every-time i auto closed the mirror there will be a sound on the door.
Sounds like the mirror is loose, the sound will only be there once i close the mirror all the up (not during closing).
Had mentioned this during the service in Honda service center and they say it is normal.
Any of you guys had experienced this before?
Any advise to solve this ?

Do you guys find the intermittent wiper interval too slow? My old vios didn't have variable intermittent setting but I didn't have problem with it because it was faster.

I always encounter the situation where I prefer to manually flick the stalk up to activate the wiper once, because in such situations, the intermittent mode is too slow and regular speed mode is too fast.

Yep me too. City 1st level intermittent too slow even in light drizzle, my windscreen would be covered b4 the next wipe. I was using a Nissan for a while during my car repair and found its intermittent much faster and I able to see clearly.

This generation is infamous for the CVT gearbox jerking, erratic response and soon after that, major failure. You may need a gearbox expert pomen for this matter and perhaps standby a spare one. Sorry to say.

Purposely take leave to send my car to replace bearing under warranty claims, mana tau after replaced still got sound, the service adviser say got faulty at the new bearing, will order new one for me, and I have to take leave and go again to replace when the part available..... 😑

Yep. That is the "benefit" of Honda, only can complain and do warranty claims & replacement on weekdays.

I missed my old car's variable intermittent setting the moment i started using City's wiper tongue.gif

Damn, wish i could swap peddle shift with that. Luckily still got manual flick up to compensate the need for it.

When you first switch back to centre position it wasn't on, but after you fiddle/press the switch (still on centre position) then its on, so looks like contact issue.

Yes exactly... I shall open flash during record.. But what you mention is correct..

I think this is not light problem but switch problem. Go back for warranty claim.

Yes the contact issue, this warranty cover 5yrs also?

I'm not thinking of going as far as putting a variable timing stalk, just looking to replace the relay with shorter intermittent interval.

I ought to think so. Otherwise you have no choice but to replace the entire cabin light set.

Hi Sifus

I would like to ask for advise for my Honda City Vtec 07 gearbox transmission problem. At first, my car have jerking problem and very severe in R mode. After that i had changed the flywheel as its common problem for Honda City Vtec.

After flywheel changed, the jerking problem solved, however i found another problem after 1 month drive that is after drive more than 1 hour especially in jam condition, when i turn the gear from N to D, the D light keep blinking and my car not move like still in N mode. But the weird things is after i put it back to R, the car can reverse and move, then when i changed back from R to D sometime the car can move but sometime cant move too after repeatedly try. However i found that the gear is back to normal after i switch off my car for 10 min and i never have problem when in first drive.

I had send back to my workshop for diagnosis, calibrate and changed the speed sensor but the problem still incur and no error code found in diagnosis too..may i know does anyone experience the same issue and any advise or suggestion to me? really appreciate your kind helping..thanks.

that issue i did change flywheel/seal inside problem solved but only last less than 6 months

when i sold my idsi city 2nd hand dealer told me the only solution is change the cvt gearbox for this common issue, half cut shop cvt gearbox cost rm2k

Hey guys. I want to DIY the broken tail lights on my 2016 City. I checked it needs a phillips screwdriver and socket or wrench. Any idea what's the socket size for it?

For almost all my Jap cars, a 10mm spanner is usually needed.

Went to service my car yesterday at Kah Motor. This time I was late again, I suppose to service on 17/01/19 for 90K but only yesterday (23/03/19) I have time to do it (mileage from last service is around 6.3K).

SC check, Furukawa battery CCA is 147CCA (max 265CCA).

I don't know much about the battery CCA but as I know the higher is better during car start. My car take a few seconds longer to start in the morning but after the car getting hot or in the afternoon, the car start normally.

CODE
Cold Cranking Amps (CCA)

CCA is a rating used in the battery industry to define a battery's ability to start an engine in cold temperatures. Generally speaking, it is easier to start an engine in a warm environment than in a cold one. The rating refers to the number of amps a 12-volt battery can deliver at 0°F for 30 seconds while maintaining a voltage of at least 7.2 volts. The higher the CCA rating, the greater the starting power of the battery.
Consider the CCA Rating if You Live in a Cold Climate

If you live in a cold climate, the CCA rating is a more important consideration than it is if you live in a warm one. Battery starting power deteriorates as the battery ages, so a battery with higher starting power should give you more confidence over time. Replacement batteries should equal or exceed the OE battery in ratings. Replacing a battery with a battery that has a lower CCA than the original equipment may result in poor performance.

Another issue found, there is oil-seal leaking near to aircond compressor. Need to wait for sparepart to arrive, then I need to left my car for 2 days to fix it. Estimated costs RM110 (RM35 for part and Rm75 for labour).

4 cover clips missing under the engine, the SC put a new one (cost RM25) (total 6 already replaced).
