i heard battery only cover if within 1 year or 20km whichever earlier. And replacement brand is Panasonic rather than FB.

I dont have claiming experience though.

The battery warranty period is 1 year or 20k km which ever comes first.

My battery died during 11 and half months (20xxx km) lucky the SC closed 1 eye since my mileage just pass 20k, I called hip and they send tow truck to jump start my car, then I drive to nearest Honda SC for claim.

They just check the battery and replace with Panasonic brand. Whole process I think less than 1 hour depend on the crowd in the SC. Lucky when I claim there's no car in the SC.

Mine sorta dropped abnormally and was found out by SC during their check up when i doing my 12th month service. 2 weeks to get claim for warranty. Car is 11months+ at that time.

I just did 10k service last weekend @ Puchong's Kah SC.

Battery is still good, reading @ 12.85v.
Engine oil upgraded to 0W20.

I ask if can change the cabin filter myself, the Service Advisor just say its okay to defer it to next service, since car mileage is low.
I am surprise by his easy going attitude, so agree to it.

So total damage is RM124.55 after discount.



Good:
- will call to remind @ 1 day before booked date.
- Consider fast Service, booked 9am, done by 10+am (including car wash)
- easy to nego,
- SC automatically check if e-voucher avail online, also ask me for registration of Kah member card into their database (can get discount on labour and parts).
- Got free milo+coffee+water dispenser+nasi lemak in the morning. Comfy waiting area.

Not-so-good:
- i found car aircond been turn to max by someone there, full bar + 19 celsius (lowest), i dont like people did that to my aircond, probably service crew who test drive my car did it.

- aircond vent also been adjusted, both the vent angle and air flow lever (i normally regulate air flow to half on both sides, and i dont blow direct to my face)

- during car wash when spray off the soap bubbles, the car wash guy open my car door and spray on side steps and bottom half of door frame, was shocked by this, that wet some of my carpet and inside of my car, jaw drop when i saw it. I already ask not to clean inside of car but didnt know they still open up car door to spray water.

- after car wash, someone drive to side path to wipe clean, but then engine + full blast aircond was left on. I step in to adjust to 25c+1 bar, then off the aircond. (not sure if engine is on during car wash or not, next time should have check during car wash too) After they saw me turn off the aircond then only they turn off the engine and pass the key back to office. I also walk back to office.

- after SA check and pass me the key, i found the aircond was set to 24c ady. Meaning SA knew those service crew always mess with customer car aircond, and SA being the last mile with customer, so he adjust it to something more 'normal' before pass key to customer. Damn those service crew.

- seating position been adjusted, not only front/back & reclining angle but seat height also been lowered (though understand better for test drive crew, but still dont like it)

I forgot to plug out my song thumb drive/note down the audio level, not sure if they abuse my audio or not. But i found audio been turn off, luckily speaker seems still ok.

Time to install in-car cam also? Maybe can catch something and get some free voucher from Honda Malaysia?

Changed my battery at 15 months. During 30k service,  SS suddenly cane and said battery was dying showed me a battery health test paper.
But later,  remarks on the service receipt said the battery was fine.
So after the bloody long wait service,  4 hours!
Took the car to my regular tyre shop for a wheel service and asked them to check my battery,  the OEM battery doesn't have CCA rating and the reading was in the middle.  Changed it as a precaution.

Sunshade - It is 2 separate pieces, thats slight inconvenience compare to those conventional-2pcs-stick-together one, but then this one size/fitting is good, so i give away the conventional one and use this one only.

Your car - since consider not safe to drive (risking a fire hazard), still need to send for service ah? Maybe can ask Honda Msia for an exception/delay till your case resolve? By the way did you repair the fog light harness & aircond sensor that got affected? or just leave it as it is for evidence sake?

From owner comments, typically OEM battery last 15-18 months. I managed to stretch it to 20 months b4 it kongs, but this is still the shortest lifespan battery I ever had in my cars.

Just call up any Honda 3S centre of your choice. I renewed via my preferred SC centre, they also handle road tax and insurance. Just call and mention you want renew road tax and insurance. Normally they will send quotation via whatsapp. Once u agree u can do bank transfer to their account and they will let u know once can come and pickup the road tax. Usually 2-3 working day after payment receive.

Not sure. Even my Persona OEM 1st battery lasted more than 2 years but I changed b4 it kongs becoz my friend was giving one for free, then subsequent changes is 2.5~3 years (local & imported ones). Near daily usage for 9 years.

My City OEM one didn't even last to 2 years. Could be due to lousy OEM cost down spec. Mine currently is Varta NS40 so will see how long it will last.

Car vibrate at high speed likely wheels not balanced or tyres 'pregnant' d. If car vibrate when you brake at high speed, then disc rotor warping is likely the culprit.

Brake pads change left n right together in pair..not necessarily front back. Normally front brake wear out faster than rear ones ...

Perhaps can go back the shop ask them check again since it happens after tyre rotation.
My previous ride also experience the same vibrate when drive around 100km/h after change a pair of new tyre. At first the guy a bit reluctant to redo. He drive the car to test but that time traffic is heavy he couldn't get over 80km/h. Then he redo again, I see him add some weight . After that no more problem.

if ur budget below 100 , get TRW DTEC or Bendix . that's more than enuf . I change my brakepad every 50k km interval ,even it's still thick ,bcoz my life is worth more than Rm100.

just walk in any sparepart shop and buy , and bring to mechanic and ask them to install. flush the brake fluid every 50-100k km , each brake fluid only Rm10 /bottle , u only need 1-2 bottle.

Ur tyres might have been 'eaten' to one side. Give it a few '00km running and see if the tyre wear has even out. Then vibration should drop. Meantime don't speed to high.

Don't want hassle then change back to Honda OEM pads or Bosch ones. Only front pair needs change, rear is drum brakes. This very long wearing AFAIK.

Send it back to them and tell them the problem.  Usually mine will tell me too bring back the car if anything isn't right.

Vibration bad for tyre wear, bad for wheel hub. Could damage suspension.
Annoying steering vibration also.
Cheaper to to get it balanced than fixing damaged suspension.

Screeching sound? That's new to me. So far my brakes don't have this screeching sound, nor in many of my friend's Hondas I sat in. Screeching could have came from overworn brake pads which is not just a Honda problem.

If you go for OEM or Bosch stuff, most pomen shops could do that replacement for you. You could try to ask large tyre workshops, they usually could do brake pad replacements tho they may poison you to change tyres.

Brakes pads  don't screech unless they're almost worn out. If they screech when new, bring it back to SC. It should not be that way.

Previously my family owned civic fd 1.8 always got screeching sound from the brake, even after brake serviced and checked at Honda SC. Now my own Honda city also got almost everytime. Also checked and service at SC still the same issue. Then I just ignore it and assume its one of the features from Honda

For my case is different. I changed both new trw dtec brake pads (front) and a new Honda brake disc. Got screeching sound even after drove for a few days. My new brake disc got heavily scratched.

Bought new Honda brake pads and skim my brake disc. No more screeching sound. I will stick to Honda brake pads.

The sales man tell me hold the accelerator and shift then you feel speed boost which I normally do.. My friend tell me release pedal n shift.. Both I tried.. Of cz hold pedal n shift is better.. But I not sure any harm..
U need go for high speed balancing.. I kena once..

On brake screeching issue, I keep complaining every time I go sc and they skimmed brake pad and ask me monitor.
Until the n times they finally change new brake pad for me, foc under warranty, problem solved.

The last skimming was due to slight juddering so it was settle after skimming. The recent one was also juddering but i bought new brake disc at Hingan and Trw dtec brake pads at Seapark PJ. After change, no more juddering but i have screeching sound, zzz..

After a few days i bought my Honda brake pads at Jyunsei Auto. After skim my new brake disc due to heavily scratched by Trw dtec brake pads and installed the new Honda brake pads, no more screeching sound.
I followed the recommended sticker (160kmph~). I tried the (~160kmph), i felt it is more floaty.
Actually i am quite satisfied with Honda brake pads. Sufficient braking grip and very low brake dust. Its just the price is at the high side. Most of the time i am working oversea when there is screeching sound. My wife also don't have much knowledge about cars. So I can't pinpoint her to go hingan/jyunsei buy parts and install outside workshop. So the easiest was tell her to bring it to SC.

My friend is a foreman also mentioned to be careful coz alot of fake Honda brake pads in the market so i only stick to Hingan or Jyunsei. But even their front brake pads are not cheap (around rm300+ a pair).

Highspeed balancing the machine rotate faster..

Small price to pay for  makiing sure your tyres wear evenly and  last longer.

u don't need to pay Rm200 to get a pair of good brakepad . go to spare part shop and get . some sparepart shop and lazada shop sell Rm100 brakepad at Rm200 , and a lot ppl go get it , coz they believe it's a Good brakepad . I change it every 40-45k km

average driver can go get TRW and Bendix ...dont bodoh bodoh go pay Rm300-500 at spare part shop and get those racing brake pad la.

TRW DTEC is a good brakepad ....for normal driving .. if u always rush to hell , pls get those Rm500 brakepad

go reputable spare part shop and source for brakepad, and bring to mechanic shop. dont go for original honda brakepad , get those branded one is more than enuf . never like honda original brakepad also , thats why i changed it during 40k km .

Cheap price is coz he taken trade in value of ur old battery. Otherwise Rm190~200 is quite standard price.

Brake pads, I will say if you worry, just go to ur trusted pomen and tell him you want Honda OEM pads. Otherwise, sendiri by from stockist or SC and give someone to install for u.

if u within PJ , go to PJ Seapark PH Auto to get ur brakepad . search in waze " PH Auto" .  (7,Jalan 21/17,PJ) . I'm their customer since 10yrs ago .

SC sell at Rm500 , and for this kind of ori brakepad , I wont waste a single cent on it . ori brakepad is simply rubbish imo ...i

Brake pad changing is a very simple job so any tyre shop or small workshop pomen can do as long they have jack and air supply. If you ever change tyres you can go back there and ask them. Be on the spot nearby and see how they change the pads, if ur satisfied with how they go about their job, then it works for you.
