Thank you for your feedback smile.gif

Currently found Continental CC7 185/60/R15 @ RM238 each at kuchai lama, kinda tempting to change.

I want to share that I recently fixed the faint rattling noises in my car.

The source of the noise was in the engine bay. There were several missing clips, which allowed parts to move and knock against each other.

1) I found that my car had broken clips for the wiper fluid reservoir. It was still hanging there, but it wasn't holding the tank securely in place.

2) Behind the front wheels, there were two missing clips on both the left and right sides. I believe these clips were not replaced after warranty claims for steering rack and other component replacements. This caused two different plastic panels (the fender cover and another cover) to rub against each other.

3) The undercarriage cover panel was missing a few screws, causing it to shake. I feel lucky to have discovered this before the entire panel flew off while I was cruising on the road. I've seen several GM6 models with their undercarriage covers dropping off while driving on the highway. I suspected the mechanics in SC do a lazy job by not putting all the screws back on after the engine oil, CVT oil etc job. Probably they dropped it somewhere on the ground and don't bother look for it to put it back.

I bought a set of clips from Shopee for RM9.90, which included 95 different clips in one box. After replacing the missing clips, my car now feels brand new. The cabin is quiet, with no rattling or annoying noises at all.

Here’s the link to the Shopee product:

For those people, whose 2014 Honda City's Car Alarm that randomly goes off one day, and it repeatedly sounds every few minutes.

Please just recharge the car battery, or replace the car battery.
Otherwise tighten the car battery terminals.

I was charged RM 150 * 8% SST = RM 162 at Peringgit Honda Old Klang Road.

And the front desk Service Rep. just tell me, they just tighten the battery terminal and issue resolved. lmao.

Having the same issue now, car battery is only 9 months old.
So he just tighten negative battery terminal?

UPDATE: Just called the foreman, he claims that there is something wrong with the alarm. Reason is the door open indicator never comes up when I open the door. I tried telling him with Honda the door open indicator only comes up if the car accesory mode is on or engine is running.

He did remove the negative terminal on the battery, reinserted, and tightened it. Issue went away. He advised me to monitor for now.

To "factory reset" the whole car's electrical system in Engine Off State, turn on the Hazard lights/Lamps, and discharge the whole car by unplugging the car's 12V battery by removing the negative terminal". And the alarm will reset back to normal, once the electrical components is fully discharged. And the alarm doesn't randomly triggered.

While at it, go replace or recharge your car's battery. Just send it to a car battery shop, mostly should just charge you for idk - RM 10-15 .

My family's city is very basic stock. No special add ons.

It is just a simple diagnosis, hopefully you won't get charged RM 150 for that. mega_shok.gif
