Hi all. I recently found out a website regarding daily classes for JLPT purpose. Anyone is interested to join in? I'm looking for N3 friends. If there are any of your friends interested in this one, the class will be commencing on this 15th July.

I have visited ICLS Damansara and Subang to ask inquiries about it. For Subang, they require at least 4 students to start the class. Kindly ask around...

Here is the brochure I've found: http://www.icls.com.my/news/53/Intensive-J...ke---July-2019/

I have been a student at ICLS before till N4 and it's not bad. My other friends suggested this center at Sunway because it's also as good. Maybe you can check it out too.

Looks cool. Do you know which textbooks they are using right now? I'll be probably visiting there later. Thanks for the suggestion.
P/S: Ah, they're using the same textbook as ICLS. I've just seen their Facebook page.

Not sure what type of textbooks they are using but you can check it out when you are there.

Just went there. Their classes opened only based on the students' demand and the fees are calculated by private lesson basis.

There are some weekly and monthly Japanese language meet-up going in KL on weekdays and weekends. Anyone been to any?
*
I've only been to HelloTalk meetups, a mixture of language learners. Haven't been to other meetups so far.

Hmmm the price is not cheap but if the sensei/ lesson is good probably can consider or go for it.
*
There is no fixed schedule, the classes are based on students' flexibility. If students withdraw halfway during the classes it will be hard.

There's a new comprehensive textbook published by The Japan Times Publishing, catered for N3. Recommended studying this book after finished Genki II or Minna no Nihongo Elementary II textbook. The next volume for Quartet series focusing for N2 will be available in the near future. You can get the first volume at the end of July 2019!

While waiting for the book's release, get the official audio zip copy here. They are not publishing CDs anymore.

[Last Update: August 2022] While I'm arranging my links in my notes, here's what I can offer to everyone what you should study from zero to advanced level. There are no fixed recommendations, if you think that book is good for you, then pick that one smile.gif Some books cannot be purchased in Kinokuniya bookstore, you have to pre-order it using their customer service department.

Please visit Kinokuniya's Advanced Search page for searching these books.
You may purchase from Amazon JP if you're buying books in bulk, they offered cheaper rates as well. https://www.amazon.co.jp/s?k=[insert ISBN code here]

Electronic Dictionaries
Electronic Dictionaries are made up of several well-known paperback dictionaries such as Sanseido and Kenkyusha. While not all models provide the dictionaries that you want for, do take a look at their catalogue sites for more information about the contents of each model has. Because they're made from well-written publishers, they do cost some money. It's worth it for long-term studies rather than relying on free dictionary apps that don't offer genuine contexts. Recently I bought a Sharp PW-SB7 and they also included Oxford's OALD and Longman's LDOCE dictionaries too!

Whats not correct ya? Please clarify. JLPT info is from official site so it should be accurate.

The link that I provided for Japan Times, the one you've tagged my name in the list is not for N1 and N2. The first QUARTET volume is served specially for N3, second QUARTET is catered for N2. That's why I have rewritten the post above for everyone's reference.

Alao the new QUARTET book catalogue listed under Online Download is only for audio files usage with the textbook itself. Take note that we have to buy the hard copy by ourselves, the books will be in the bookstore soon.

If possible, kindly tweak the numbers that you've placed on the main post to N3. Many thanks!
