I think books are outdated now.
You should go for some YouTube content (like that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YV8KmfBbBM) so you should go for learning Japanese in ENGLISH for some time.
Also you can go for some articles with tips, lists with top apps (something like that https://thewordpoint.com/languages/japanese...ation-services) where you can look for best services.
One of my favorites tactics of learning languages is watching movies with Japanese voice acting (in your case) and JAPANESE subtitles.
So you can hear how people are building passages and also you can go for translating certain words one by one so you will create your own vocabulary.
But do not forget to practice. That is the main thing.
