minna no nihongo is pretty much the standard for JLPT, but for those tht wanna buy straight buy the original version not the english remake version. even tho content same, original version used more kanji while the remake version used more hiragana to write those kanji.
best way to improve, go sign up for the japanese library at midvalley, ask the reception for tadoku. start reading from lv0 and keep moving onto the list. tadoku is a method where u read a lot of storybook to improve ur language skill (japanese use this method to learn other languages), u start from the easiest, u move on when u fully understand 1 book. its a fun and non boring way to improve |

Have not heard of "tadoku" so I looked it up a bit. Agree that it's interesting and helpful to learn... it's a supplementary method to studying, provided the person likes reading hahaha. Generally I notice that Japanese enjoys reading. One of the reason I'm learning Japanese is because I'd like to read Japanese novels/ books. Have left the "manga" scene but I still enjoy reading whenever I get the time to do so.best way to improve, go sign up for the japanese library at midvalley, ask the reception for tadoku. start reading from lv0 and keep moving onto the list. tadoku is a method where u read a lot of storybook to improve ur language skill (japanese use this method to learn other languages), u start from the easiest, u move on when u fully understand 1 book. its a fun and non boring way to improve Too bad there's no "tadoku" app for Japanese. They created the app for English. |

The tadoku sounds like how we learnt languages when we were young too. Hahaha we read or got our parents to read story books for us.

QUOTE(Immunityx7 @ Oct 6 2018, 03:28 AM) Sorry, forgot this part. I live in KL.I have seen this schedule by JFKL but they are night classes (6:30 PM - 8:45 PM) during weekdays. I normally finish my work at 7:00 PM and will likely be too tired to attend any night class after that. So, weekend class is my best option. |

I've been reading it... without realizing it's "多読”. 2 more books to finish Level 2. I saw Level 3 books and it's getting deeper. The books were really interesting and somewhat educational (on facts and customs etc). This is a list from JFKL. Suggest you call up several centres near you to enquire about weekend classes:Does anyone know of any instructor-led weekend class to learn Japanese language? It really depends on the level of Japanese the members have before I able to set this rule. I think I will discuss with the rest on this first |

How expensive are those books? DO you know the price? Maaannnn, seems like it would be an effective way to learn. I tried to use Japanese text in RPG games I play.... but a little too advanced I think. Especially with all the kanji. u bought the physical copy for this? look at the story title, it should b diff from the series u read ![]() |
