Hey guys,
I'm new here so yeah, sorry if I mess anything up.
So I'm going to Malaysia soon for studying and I was wondering if it's possible for an international student to buy a car and be a part-time uber/grab driver. I've read that it's possible to buy a car but I'm asking just to be sure. If uber/grab isn't an option then is it possible to rent out the car?
That way the expenses will be slightly reduced I hope.
Will be waiting for replies, thanks in advance! Cheers! biggrin.gif

Get a job at McDs, like all students do...

I think international students cannot work there unless it's part time and only during vacations ohmy.gif

So I can rent out my car even if I'm not a Malaysian citizen?

Well I won't be driving most of the time as I'll be living close by the campus
So why not rent it out and make a little extra cash? smile.gif

Btw Uber is no more in Malaysia, locally the industry leader is Grab.

You will need to have a Malaysian IC with a valid (full) driving license in order to qualify. Your car also needs to be in a good condition, preferably 6 years or newer. Check if your car is eligible here.

Ooh that's a bummer.
I can get an international driving permit but the Malaysian IC is far out of reach! :/

only when u are studying in outskirt then u probably need a car
in the city, u dont need  a car
who gonna spend that much of money to rent the car from u? that would lead to a lot of controversy later
