1. Budget : < 4k
2. Usage : Work only: Programming / web dev
3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc) :
- as light as possible, I'm travelling with the laptop a lot,
- good battery life but i foresee it being plugged in most of the time,
- don't need 2 in 1 or touch

Thank you again in advance ~

Max weight preferred in kg? Min battery life in hours (normal usage)? Preferred display size?
Need good sRGB display? Mind non-upgradable RAM?

max weight : 1.5kg
min battery life: perhaps 6 hours
display: as long as decent
ram: don't mind if can't be upgraded but need to have at least 16gb

Hello everyone,

I'm back asking again

1. Budget : ~5000

2. Usage :
Mainly for programming work (web development).
Will be using Visual Studio primarily, VS code, VirtualBox for vms, occasional image editing using GIMP

3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc) :
Most important requirement is the weight, the lighter the better.
RAM - 16gb
Storage - SSD 256gb minimum
Display 14" >, don't need touch.
Battery, will be plugged in most of the time, so don't think this is too important.

I'm currently looking at the T480p. Want to know if there are other laptops that I should look into.

Also a noobie question, but what configuration of the Surface Pro that I can probably use to replace a laptop ? :| heh

Thank you guys
