hi i just now starter to join intake in september class at college and become a new student, i want to buy a new laptop for college purpose

if can, My Budget around rm 3000 ~ 3800 over a bit is ok but maximum is rm 4000

Currently i think use the laptop for do the assignment, presentation, rarely to see the video and maybe sometimes i want to play some casual games not 3A games (no prefer to gaming is ok )
and also hope that laptop can open many many website tab from google chrome browser without lagging.

not expect that laptop battery can tahan dengan masa yang lama but at least can tahan more than 2 or 3 hours.

screen size around 15 or 14 inch below but must have with 1920x1080 standard fhd ips, good srgb fhd ips or better laptop display screen is ok for me i hope that laptop weight dun heavy too much 2.5 kg below is ok

and also i want that laptop model can use with longer time means can tahan lama around 2 or 5 years above i dun want the laptop cepat rosak waste my money fix this fix that and claim that warranty in future.

warranty services i dun expect too much because for me i think any brand include with dell or hp will not interested to layan u baik baik when u want to claim warranty from them.

No one can guarantee on that, really depends on your luck

Prefer gaming laptop or regular laptop/Ultrabook?

Asus UX430UN (if you can still find it) - soldered RAM
Dell Inspiron 7570 with RAM upgrade - battery a bit small

If you think that these models aren't flashy, can consider too:
Illegear Raven with 144Hz IPS
Legion Y530 with 300 nits 72% NTSC IPS
Commandos Glock 5 (avoid the default IPS panel)

Those are 13 inch models wor...if your'e fine with it, Envy 13 and UX331UN are good buy, however they have their own flaws:
-good, not excellent build quality
-soldered RAM
-limited cooling

T480 is over your budget if you want MX150 included. X280 is overpriced here and don't have dGPU

If you're fine with low sRGB, can consider:
Lenovo Thinkpad A485 (R5/R7 with dual channel memory) - customizable
Lenovo Ideapad 530s 15+RAM
Acer Swift 3 SF314-54G+RAM
Acer Swift 3 SF315-51G - soldered RAM
Lenovo Yoga 520/530+RAM
HP Pavilion 15 cs0033tx+RAM+SSD, HP Pavilion 14 ce0082/83tx+RAM, HP Pavilion x360 14 cd0036tx - small battery

k thanks for your suggestion, will decided to choose what model, btw, is really worth to buy for t480 with non mx150 ? if include with mx150 i also can acceptable

but i have also read the review about t480, seems for now most of the ppl they feel thinkpad quality are not better than old thinkpad and some ppl was complain just because thinkpad t or x series was faulty after they only using with few months or even few days.........

should i reduce the budget to save money buy with rm 3000 below ? cuz i feel that good screen srgb fhd screen laptop are easily to faulty one if expect of them only the rm 3000 below laptop can choosen already....

T480 is a solid model, however it's also expensive. A good alternative is A485

Yeah Thinkpad quality isn't the same as before, but still better than consumer lineup

Good sRGB display easy to be faulty? What

it depends on luck ?
