The new 2 models in the website probably has low sRGB IPS (the website didn't mention it)

Need to up budget if you want good display (high sRGB) unless you're fine with Ultrabook / regular laptop

Not really into ultrabook or regular laptop. Is the Level51 MX15 okay? Seems to quite fit the bill. Kinda interested with the Lenovo Y530 also.

y530 ok, Level51 MX15 not so much. Perhaps you should also look into Illegear Raven.

MX15 is Clevo N850 which isn't that great

Y530 is alright but you won't get good sRGB display with your budget

Raven is also a decent choice but has low sRGB display only for now (144Hz panel out of stock)

Hi all the sifus over here, I'm looking for new laptop.

Budget below 9k, looking for something with best bang for buck.

Purpose: Productivity/Portability + Gaming on AAA titles

Look: Prefer a subtle outlook, would prefer to stay away from the gaming look

Below are the requirements
- Battery Life above 5 hours is preferable
- Weight hovering around 2kg
- Warranty has to be international mainly countries of MY & AUS
- Thunderbolt 3 with EGPU support
- Minimum RTX 2060
- 16gb RAM
- Minimum 512GB SSD
- Screen 144hz 1080p resolution

I'm wondering if probably should wait till the end of the year to see more models being released since I am not really in a hurry.

Thanks

I assumed that you need >6 hrs battery life since you mentioned 'good battery'

Dell G7 if you want good hardware, but it's a bit bulky and has low sRGB IPS
Lenovo Yoga 730 15 if you prefer light weight and don't mind lower end hardware (still pretty powerful TBH)

Not sure MX150 is enough for your workload. Can accept MX150 laptops?

4 Hours - Maybe possible but prefer something upwards to 5 hours
2.2 KG - it's acceptable
TB3 - It's a must, if there is no TB3 I don't think i'll consider it

Probably the best option:
Lenovo Legion Y740 15- ~4 hrs battery life with GSYNC off

Over budget:
AW m15 - 144Hz IPS+90Wh battery and RAM+SSD upgrades, heatsink and airflow issues, a bit gaming look

How about the Acer Predator Triton 500 or Gigabyte Aero?

Any ideas about it. I think it's still new in the market?

Also, the Legion can achieve 4 hours? the battery is less than 60 watts.

Oh yeah forgot about Triton 500. Can get 5-6 hrs battery life with GSYNC disabled. CPU cooling isn't that great though, but overall it's better than MSI GS65 IMO

Tech Armory haven't bring in RTX Aero 15 (they are the only one who sells)

Y740 15 can achieve around 4 hrs, therefore can be less. Larger Wh isn't always equal to longer battery life FYI

1050TI with good display:
Lenovo Legion Y530 81FV00M8MJ
Dell G5 5590 - CPU power limit and airflow issues
Asus GL503G-EEN057T, GL503G-EEN137T
Commandos Glock 5 (Clevo NB50TK1) - default panel is low sRGB IPS

1050TI with low sRGB IPS panel:
HP Omen 15-DC0093TX
Illegear Raven (TongFang GI5CN5E)
Dell G7
Lenovo Legion Y530 81FV016UMJ

If you can bump up budget a bit, you can get a good 1060 model

Dual channel memory is highly recommended
*
Thanks for the recommendation! Assuming I can bump up my budget, can recommend a good 1060 model?
Would like to know also in general, what are the differences between brands? Most of the time i notice the specs are almost identical yet the price can be few hundred RM difference. Any tips? E.g. build quality...? Overheating issues...?

1060 laptops around 5k:
Illegear Raven Elite (TongFang GK5CN67) - UHD panel only, no high refresh rate option (for now)
MSI GP63 8RE-820
Illegear Onyx Lite (TongFang GK5CN6Z)
Commandos Carbine 5 (Clevo N950TP6)
Lenovo Legion Y530 81LB001GMJ - low sRGB IPS

not sure still available or not:
Illegear Z7 (Quanta NL9U) - no high refresh rate option
Illegear Laguna (Quanta NL5C)

Differences - basically anything: design, build quality, dimensions+weight, ports, input devices, cooling performance, battery life, audio quality etc

Personally I would prefer a laptop with TB3 port - in case in the future you can buy external GPU and upgrade it with more power !
