Hi guys, can please recommend me a laptop for general online, words, powerpoint  (no gaming)?

Budget: RM2-3k
Size: 14-15 inch
battery: No preference.
Usage: working - reading, words, powerpoint, pdf
Display: no preference.

For a senior person. will not upgrade the laptop. best if can last longer, good technical/warranty support. (optional)

Many Thanks !!!
*
Last longer = premium business laptop = more expensive

Fine with manual upgrades? (add RAM/SSD by your own)
Fine with carry in warranty? (not onsite)

Max weight in kg? Any preference on display size and battery life? Mind low sRGB display and non-upgradable RAM?

QUOTE(Quentin Moria @ May 24 2019, 10:39 AM)
How about the Windows 10 home Lenovo computer of the I7 system? Newly bought less than two months, has begun to self-restart. unhappy
*
Which model?

QUOTE(ncys1 @ May 24 2019, 11:03 AM)
- Good battery life (> 6 hours?)
- Solid build quality
- Good display (1080p, matte, bright)
- Lightweight
*
If you want solid build quality, go for premium business laptops. Unfortunately they are expensive and many of them don't have good display (low sRGB+average brightness IPS)

Max weight preferred in kg?

Dont mind gaming laptops or performance/workstation laptops haha.. its just light gaming and some light photoshop or lightroom.. So I dont I would need a rtx 2060? haha..

no numpad is mainly just personal thing >< cuz with numpad, my hands had to slightly slant to the left whenever I type, which I feel not that comfortable when typing...

Then no Apple too

Consider premium business laptops / true mobile workstations (eg Thinkpad T, X1 Extreme etc)

I heard Apple keyboard alot problem even for 4th gen butterfly key. haha

other than that still got what brand and model? I like HP design but phobia of HP quality.

Could you please recommend me other brand which consumer grade as well, of course i understand those brand is depends on luck also.
*
True mobile workstations usually weight more than 2kg (Thinkpad P52, Precision 7530, Zbook 15 G5), Thinkpad X1 Extreme / P1 is the only one under 2kg (GPU max at 1050TI/P2000 MQ, heat issue)

Premium business laptops have less powerful hardware (eg Thinkpad T series, Latitude 7000 series etc)

Can consider thin and light gaming laptops (with acceptable cooling of course)
