there's no additional 2-years warranty option too. you stuck with 1year warranty for y530 with gtx1060
*
There is. You need to select in customization page

1. Budget :1.9k - 2.4k MAX
(I have 32gb of Intel optane, 240gb SATA3 SSD and 240gb M.2 Pcie in case anything required to upgrade, so lets not put those into price calculation)

2. Usage  : Illustrator, general office works... not much gaming~

3. Requirements  : no specific requirements... IPS is a plus, since using AI, battery life isn't really a main thing for me as mostly use in office smile.gif
*
Who say 320s 14 has TN panel. Go to store and take a look. It has IPS. Optane is a marketing gimmick, but since you already got it...just put inside

Ideapad 320 is mediocre. Ideapad 320s 14 is a decent budget choice, but RAM+SSD upgrades are needed.

Can refer to my approval list for more options

since when there is future proof on IT after 6th gen.. everything move so fast.. every year 1 new gen come out.. n amd it on its way for 10nm or 7nm chips de.. while intel is still on 14nm chips..

wat is future proof? TUN M live till 150yrs old to clean the shit for us ah
*
Ya...one of the reason why 8th gen mobile chips (including KBL-R) run so hot... keep pushing higher clock speeds while there is no architecture improvement

Hi all, asking for a friend's friend. Limited info available.

1. Budget : As budget as possible.
2. Usage  : Uni coursework. Graphic related course.
3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc) : A decent graphic card I guess

If recommending the model, can please suggest where to obtain from? At Kelantan would be best.

Thanks in advance.

Give a range on budget. Also, any preference on weight and battery life?

I suggest buying online

Guys whats the best ultrabook with 16gb ram?

Not going to play game.

Portability is most important as I will be travelling a lot. And sometimes on bike too.

Going to do hd video editing, photo editing & office work.

Battery life >5 hours.

Thinking of zenbook 3 but it doesnt have newer proc compare to xps 13.

Xps13 scared screen a little bit small but dunno can consider also.

Huawei matebook x no local warranty.

Help me choose pls

Budget? Preferred display size and max weight? Do you need dGPU (or decent iGPU)?

Can stretch budget by a bit more (if yes, to how much)? Need good sRGB IPS display? Any preference on display size, weight (max kg) and battery life (minimum hours)?

*
Preferred max weight? You can get dGPU in regular laptops/Ultrabooks

Below 1.5kg if possible. Oh i didnt know that. I only know matebook x got dgpu. But its too expensive at 8k

Can consider Lenovo Thinkpad T480s with i5 KBL-R CPU, with optional 10W MX150 and WQHD panel (default is low sRGB IPS). 8250U can handle 3.4GHz all core under load with some undervolt

Wow cheaper than xps with almost same spec. How about the battery life? Saw in the options got 2 battery? Front & back
*
Need to do some customization. T480s don't have battery upgrade option. Fixed at 57Wh, which is plenty

Hi sifus,

Looking for a gaming laptop.
I've been looking at MSI's GP63 8RE 299 Leopard.

Just wondering if there's anything better out there for that price range of RM5-6K.
