Hi, i wanna buy an iphone X used set. And a lot seller said faceid fail. What does it means?

Me use Maybank app, you using iOS 13.5? I just noticed got new iOS update, I haven't update yet so mine still working

Yup, ios 13.5.
Usually after ios update, maybank will update their app.
But till now, still no update.
Contacted maybank technical team, they keep asking to offload app, delete and reinstall. Which didn’t work.
Im trying to ask around here if any iphone x users had similar experience to make sure its not an isolated case.

Yes, a lot of these units are in the market. Face ID fail I will think more parts are not original d , replaced before hence faceid won’t work. I bought before once, got it , works okay, then I updated the OS from iOS 12 to 13 I think, voila my True Tone went missing . Googled up only I found that it usually is because the screen was replaced with an after market one.

So really be careful when it’s really too good to be true. Best is used Malaysia sets I feel and from direct owner.. not shopeee kind .. just my opinion.

My iPhone X is facing "iPhone X Display Module Replacement Program for Touch Issues", any have tried replacing it? May I know whats the procedure, im aware I have to make an appointment, or can I walk-in to any authorised dealer to check? and how long does it take to replace?

i have changed it at machine klcc.. im pretty sure u have to make appointment for machine outlet.. just bring your device there and it take a day to complete

Well noted, have made an appointment at machine garden tomorrow, but may try call in if possible to set up today.

Wow within a day, a question do they just change an internal module or the whole touch screen? I have remove my existing screen protector as I thought was the caused of the touch issue.

based on what that guy told me.. they will change whole display.. actually its not a day for me.. i go there around 1pm.. and they said once finished you will get an email.. around 8pm i got an email said already done. unfortunately already arrived at home and to lazy to go and collect.. so i go collect the next day

Anyone knows any recommended iPhone fixing shop/service?
My phone screen is showing white screen with lines, and my PC can’t detect the phone either when plugged in.

Apple service centre doesn’t do data retrieval which is my main concern. I want to retrieve all my data. Any legit fixing shop to recommend?

looks like display panel faulty

means the original screen already replaced with third party screen.. hence why faceid failed... this mean the phone is third party refurbished and not second original as advertised by 99.99% of shopee seller.

99% of iPhone users/buyers are casual customer, don't know much about technology or iphone.. so most buy these iphones from shopee believing that they're second original lmao
