Erm.. so in another words you never read before breeding them??? Oh goodness you better start reading la.. if not don't put males and females in the same tank. Hopefully the pups grow up well.
Haha... Ive read about hamster breeding only.. Dis Gerbils r new to me la.... The pups seems to do juz fine now.... rclxms.gif

inbreeding is best done when u know EXACTLY what u want and u know very well the health  'background' of the pair (even so, siblings is A BIG NO...) ... otherwise it is not adviceable... coz if both pair got so many bad traits then the bad traits will roughly become double to the offsprings... people mainly do inbreeding to get or strengthen the good traits they like to have, but still the risk is there... so inbreeding is not easy and not for everyone my friend... trust me...

Proclaimer,
Firstly, did you know it was pregnant? Breeding takes reading and also time. The lost of a pup or 2 is normal if the female is weak or the pups are unhealthy. This is normally seen with inbreeding lah.... Inbreeding is ok if you have done research, know what you want to breed and that both animals are healthy and in perfect condition.... if both unhealthy, breed also no use lah, makes the animal suffer only.
You better separate whatever adult gerbils you have into a male tank and female tank....

Well I didnt kno when i got them... But i was curious when 1 of them is like fatter than usual and like kinda tame compared to the others.... I tot is was juz fat... Haha... Gotta check wif my fren n c if they are from the same batch...
What do u mean by healthy n in perfect condition...? hmm.gif
They all seems healthy(physically) and they r happy...
No abnormalities so far..
