If you buy Ugreen, make sure it's from the ugreen flagship store on Lazada not Shopee one.

Furthermore those listing on Shopee is very limited on the so called flagship store.

Get the round CAT6 from lazada better.

One question, what's the minimum internet connection required to stream youtube's 4k 60fps smoothly without interruption? 210-170Mbps?

Some claim 30mbps enough.

10Mbps definitely not enough.

as jusbella said, some people previously with 30Mbps claims that it's enough.

provided you're the only internet user while streaming, i guess..

ok thank you.

210Mbps laugh.gif  you think youtube is streaming using Lossess YV12 From what i know VP9 is amost as good than H.265(Or much better), so i think 40Mbps is enough for smooth 4k video
*
That's I asked tongue.gif . Have you tested it yourself? 4k 60fps?

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Oct 3 2018, 02:34 PM)
151288Kbps, or 151Mbps. I used my Shield TV Pro in 4K resolution, streaming YouTube 4K video, playback in statistic mode.

It depends on your connection. Whether u have 30 50 100 or 800..Still able to stream 4k without a problem. Tested before on 30mbps. Speed will be constantly utilized as it's not able to buffer much.

Now I'm on 100mbps, sometimes I see the speed is 70mbps, sometimes 100 over. It will be able to buffer more for you and your internet speed won't need to be used constantly.

Try this vid, and please post your stats here.

Choose 4k 60fps.

I stand corrected. I did a retest of the same video I screenshot previously, with the Shield TV connected to my phone’s data connection.

The video plays from start till finish with no buffering or stutter. Stats shows 15-18Mbps pulled from the phone’s connection. But to me eyes, some details were lost  during playback. Water beads missing edge details, blurry on certain sections, etc. I was really “concentrating” on the video to see the difference. Not hard to do though. tongue.gif

So, yes, you can get away with 15-18Mbps to watch YouTube in 4K, but your 4K watching experience may slightly differs to the others with better speed.

It's good to know and taking the time to answer my question, thank you!

I guess it depends on the codec used to encode the video? At one passing moment, I saw it pulling 600+Mbps. Or does the video keeps asking for more if the connection allows it?

EDIT: The result above is for the "Nox Atacama 8K" video. Here is the result for the one you linked:

Just being turboed...Now running via lan cable getting 300 megabit d/l and 50 megabit upload

When doing streaming youtube ultra 8k this link

Peru ultra 8k
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1La4QzGeaaQ&t=3s

still lagging...youtube stats show streaming at 50 megabit only.

when change to 1440p getting 150 megabit.
No problems here. Which browser are you using? Try Microsoft Edge, getting 50-118mbps.
