1. Connect to Router.

2. Connect second wireless AP wirelessly or connect with LAN cable to main router.
*
for 2nd, connect to the main router as in BTU or the Router 1?

hi, that day technician came, and tested my internet speed by LAN cable, it was up too 750+Mbps for my 800Mbps plan. But 2 weeks after that, i tested by my own, it never went up to 400Mbps. Anyone wonders why?

set up
btu to router - cat 6 cable
router to laptop - cat 6 cable
time of test : morning, and midnight

Update on technician coming to visit for plan change of 30Mbps(rm139 . RM199 after 2 years contract. Pending 300Mbps TURBO) to 100Mbps (RM129). Contract refresh to 2 years again.

He came and luckily changed my router. From TP-LINK Archer C1200 to D-Link DIR-842. Doesn't both the router support 100Mbps? is the D-link a better router?

Plan details as below. Does anyone else with the 100Mbps have that STB in their plan name?

Also.. what max speed should I expect over cable? Currently getting 70-80Mbps in speedtest. Wifi varies from 30-50Mbps

Technician came on 10 Oct, changed my router to Dlink D842. That day, speedtest with lan cable was 750+Mbps. However these few days, when i did speedtest with my lan cable, the result as below in the picture. i have attached my current BTU. What have i done wrong, not getting the speed promised by TM.

Cable : Cat 6 BTU > Router, Cat 6 Router > Laptop
Network Card: As seen in the LAN status, 1Gbps.

Did Unifi charged you installation and modem change or need to renew contract?
*

yes, i was charged RM50 for service. the modem was replaced with 2 years contract renewal.
I have further asked, if during this period, you are free to downgrade, but not terminate, if terminate, penalties will be imposed.

Nope, only service charge of RM53.
Could be CPU mitigation limiting the speed. Try running Safe Mode with Networking and test speed again. If still happening, try changing routers.
*
I did safe mode with networking. Not same. What else can i do? The speed was ok for a few days after the technicians came, but then, it gets worse, until today.

-.-What do you mean by not same?

Speed is higher or lower in safe mode ?
*
sorry, was on phone, didnt notice that. haha, i mean that, there is no changes on the speed, still remains 250+Mbps for 800Mbps plan.

Are you sure there is no heat throttling issue on desktop PC with LAN connection?
*
no bro, i was monitoring the CPU usage and performance graph, the graph didnt have significant drastic spike.
sorry, i didnt screenshot the performance graph. ***

Not sure if you've done this, but I would try:
1. Turn off and on all equipment
2. Try with TM website speedtest

If still slow,
3. Try with a different PC / notebook and connected by different network cable
4.  Try with TM website speedtest
This will help eliminate your PC / notebook problem.
*
thought of those, and i did everything. no, issue still persists.

ikr, i called 100, and the operator told me my upload speed was within range promised, which is around 180-190Mbps/200 for 800Mbps plan, but not download speed.

Is that a laptop? Plug in the power adapter.
In battery only mode, there might be CPU throttling which will affect the speedtest result.
*
i put it in plugged in mode
wired connection = fail
wireless, connected 5Ghz, stands next to router, i only get 170Mbps, which i got 460Mbps when the technicians' last visit.
