Recently "downgraded" from 30 Mbps (RM139) to 100 Mbps (Rm129)
I'm experiencing some wild speed fluctuations on some of my torrents, so I assume there is some throttling going on there. The speed reaches the theoretical maximum of 12.5MB/s for a bit, then swings down to 3MB/s and then back up to 10-12 MB/s, up and down, leading to an average of about 6-9 MB/s for the entire duration.
I did not see this behaviour on the old 30 Mbps plan. The speed would go up to 3.5 MB/s and stay there for the whole torrent, flat lining the entire time.
Not too bad, can still get huge files within reasonable amounts of time.
It makes me wonder if those 800 Mbps/500Mbps folk can even get the full speed for torrenting.
Did TM give u a new router? I've just requested to 'downgrade' from 50Mbps (been turbo-ed to 500Mbps last Saturday).I'm experiencing some wild speed fluctuations on some of my torrents, so I assume there is some throttling going on there.
