You should nego to RM99. Search this topic and you will find someone got RM99 for 50mbps.
I doubt it. This is TM, you call 10 times can get 10 different answers.

Thanks, I tried but the best he could give me was rm 119 at 30mbps and there's a quota.

I find it weird as there is time broadband in my building but the guy says that my building is still using copper? (find that switching to time is too much hassle, as they will pull the cable into my apartment)

30mbps with quota is rm79, not rm119. If can't get the rm99 package then pester for free std20 n Ultimate pack.

Yesterday i went to TMpoint with my friend, he is using 30mbps and wish to sign up new 100mbps/RM129 package, but his unit maximum only can reach 30mbps. The CS offer him 30mbps@RM119 with unilimited quota, then he said this package will be further turbo upgrade to 300mbps when the facility available. I was asking i am expecting paying 300mbps for RM119 and 100mbps for RM129??? The CS said yes, the 100mbps(not eligible for turbo upgrade) only for new customer and 30mbps(300mbps turbo upgrade later) for exiting loyal customer. How come there is such mysterious package available at TM point only? confused.gif confused.gif

Well guys I really would have liked the 100/300/500/800 plans to be something the public can choose, but at this point 800mbps is largely unused in my household, so I plan to downgrade to 100mbps.

would going to TMpoint and asking for a 300mbps plan be of any use? tongue.gif

Hahaha.. i got the same BS answer regarding price reduction on my 30Mbps plan.. Fella says to not change to cheaper price cuz I'm due to be turboed.. I'm like.. what!!!.. Max infra can support is 30Mbps where can turbo one.. Escalate to higherup as you clearly don't know your stuff.. Got report ID.. Giving a few days to see if I get a decent reply.. Else will escalate again..

Hmm.. if I share my config file I run the risk of exposing my username and password right?

Anyway, I followed the steps from here :
https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Mikrotik_and...y_arpee/soonwai

I'm sure Soonwai can help you out..
*
I've already followed that guide but seems to only getting around 430Mbps, far cry from 800Mbps.
Was wondering if you could share you configuration, can easily remove any personal details from the file using notepad.

How much do you need to keep the server going? Better specify it to let people know that it is an ongoing cost.

Why don't you try another chat session with another person and see what answer you get then. If different, then copy paste the first chat and ask why the different answers. Let us know the results.

Guys, need some opinion for these 2 router. Asus RT-AC86U and GT-AC5300.

Since my unifi is being turbo, I'm thinking of getting a new router to maximize the speed of it.

My usage aren't that great at the moment as I don't play games, no torrent. Just using my unifi with light stuffs like fb, youtube, video streaming, iptv and so on. The only thing is that there are roughly 10-15 devices will be connected to the router. And I hope  my next router wifi coverage will be able to cover as much area as possible for my house.

RT-AC86U : RM600+-, Dual Core 1.8GHz, 256MB Flash, 512MB RAM, Dual Band, 4 LAN Port

GT-AC5300 : RM1400+-, Quad Cord 1.8GHz, 256MB Flash, 1024MB RAM, Tri Band, 8 LAN Port

For extra RM800 for better process, more ram, extra 1 5GHz, extra 4 ports, I'm also interested to know the wifi coverage for both of these model, which one has better wifi coverage, and roughly by how many %?
*
I'd just get the AC86U.
For the extra 800 bucks, can get multiple AP and Switch.
Quite sure this will be better than 1 central router trying hard to reach all corners
Only thing is need cabling.

RT-AC86U is good enough for your uasge, But with a tri-band Router you can try to balance up devices connected to each wifi network(You can do the same with Wifi AP tho)
*
Why not get 2 units of RT86 and so aiMesh?

Maybe I can help you to host your site on DO, I have a $5 per month plan for a website I launched but it's underutilized now.

i'm currently using RM149 10M unifi and my apartment only support max 30M,
can i go tm request them offer me their competitor's package and price?
or don't waste time just terus go maxis?
*
If you just want a pure internet service and don't use the Unifi TV package, just switch no need to think.
Even if TM try to match maxis price their service will be limited by copper. Unless maxis is also using copper infra, it's not worth the bother to deal with TM asking for a price reduction.

However if you want to keep your Unifi TV then go ahead and pressure them for a price reduction.

What Time Fibre, are they available in your building?
