I though this turbo upgrade not related to the price that currently we pay. As long as we are already subscribe 100Mbps from any campaign.

I think I have already attached the outlook msg file here before. It contains screenshots of all the evidence I collected to prove about the unfair and inconsistent pricing with message and recipients.

According to statistics there are greater proportion of users paying RM 179 for 50 Mbps, and there are still larger proportion paying 329 or 200 ++ over for 100 Mbps, therefore, adjustment has taken place.  (My view)

TM now is trying to stop people from pouring in more evidence that customers are paying just RM 189 for 800 Mbps because this affect their earnings

Can, silver HG8240w also has GbE ports. I'm using that now for Turbo500.

The beige one is HG8240H.

Main difference, for me, anyway is that the silver one cannot wall mount and is larger than the beige one.

The app version has 15 - 20% less single core cpu utilization with proper microcode.

Then again, most people use google chrome to download stuff, so using speedtest application itself is not representative of turbo speed.

Been following up this thread for years. Realised that forumers here like to post comments here rather than making official complaint to CFM or MCMC accordingly.

Guys, there are at least three main unfair practices put up by TM Unifi following the pressure given by the Minister to all ISP: -

1) New plan/price are not reflected by TM Unifi to all users across the board, users have to opt in. Worse still, TM Unifi doesn't provide existing users with compatible devices for supporting the new higher internet speed but re-contract this opt in for another 24 months. It's somehow against the contract laws spirit. In the meantime, new sign-up, paying the same bucks, get new full set of devices to support the new higher internet speed - same 24 months contract. So it's clearly seen as TM Unifi's discrimination and unfair practice here. Challenge them & bring it up to CFM/MCMC.

2) termination notice period of 30D. Termination requires only TM's end to cut the connection, why need 30D notice period? its sole purpose is to make sure TM can squeeze last drop of blood from Unifi users. KEY POINT here: all unifi users are charged in advance, i.e. u gonna pay next month unifi charges now in order for the service to remain. So why need 30D notice period? TM is just trying all its dirty tricks to make sure monies are there within TM, no refund, no immediate revenue impact. Agn, challenge them, highlight this unfair practice to CFM/MCMC.

3) limited TM Point centres handle termination request. Simple, go highlight to CFM/MCMC immediately and let the regulator to review and take necessary actions if deemed fit and required.

MIND everyone here to take action to file complaint officially to CFM/MCMC. Without any official filings, CFM/MCMC will just treat it as IT IS PEACEFUL & u all like the UNIFI service & there is ntg wrong with the revised T&Cs which has not been duly communicated to all Unifi users via whatsoever channels (while marketing materials spamming users' mailbox and SMS)

Do it now, dont wait. Fruits would not drop in front of u if u are expecting others to do it for u. Number, number, number - we need number of complaints landed on CFM/MCMC then we may see changes/corrective instructions given/taken by the regulator.

Nope, I didn't do anything and it was taken out when I checked on Unifi Portal because I already have the Ultimate pack for a while since Unifi 100 RYE 2017 upgrade.

what the fark? i already subscribe to maxis and not i need to use for a month before terminate?

If u read unifi tnc properly, it states
The  terms  conditions  herein  shall  be  read  together  with  the  terms  and  conditions  for  the  Service  as  attached  to  the  Application Form  (as  hereinafter  defined).  In  the  event  of  any  inconsistency  between  any  of  the  terms  and  conditions  attached  to  the Application  Form  and  terms  and  conditions  as  herein  set  forth,  the  terms  and  conditions  attached  to  the  Application  Form  shall prevail, to the  extent  of  any  inconsistency

And
25.  Variation  TM  shall  reserves  the  right  to  amend  the  terms  and  conditions  herein  contained  at  any  time  if  amendment  is  reasonably  necessary in  the  interest  of  and  for  ensuring  a  fair  level  of  availability  of  the  Service  to  a  majority  of  TM’s  subscribers  and  the  Customer  shall be  bound  by  the  amended  terms  and  conditions.  Notice  of  the  amendment  may  be  given  by  TM  to  the  Customer  in  such  manner as TM  deems appropriate.

I suppose u can demand them to prove this.

Anyhow,some forumers here manage to terminate on the spot by going to TM Point. Maybe you can try your luck since contract is finished already.

Question. If you wanna get the new 100mbps can you use android box to stream unifi tv instead of their tv box? cuz i don't wanna pay extra for their tv box.
