Sometimes, dont be fooled by specs. Compare this with c1200. Although c1200 has higher gigabit speed for WAN, LAN ports and higher WLAN transmission speed, its penetration, signal strength, coverage and stability is inferior.

This article pretty much said what most TM subscribers wanted to say. Maxis need recontract to provide new router? Wtf, they only give crap tplink. Most people got their own with much better performance. If they hand out asus ac68u as standard, that's a different story.

A lot to learn, ya. In order to fully harness and utilize, one would have to be a mini ISP. Imo, anything beyond 100M need more than one router, the other act as slave APs to get optimum coverage and distribution among client devices.

Btw, just curious, what suffix u guys put to tell apart 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, for me I add _VIP for 5ghz, 2.4ghz remain, haha

What the heck, youve been hypnotized and drugged heavily by TMpoint staffs. The fact that some people pay RM159 for 800M and some pay RM329 for 100M is unfair.

Doesnt matter if two or even one subscriber get better treatment than the rest, unfair is unfair~vin diesel@dominic toretto

Guys, there are at least three main unfair practices put up by TM Unifi following the pressure given by the Minister to all ISP: -

1) New plan/price are not reflected by TM Unifi to all users across the board, users have to opt in. Worse still, TM Unifi doesn't provide existing users with compatible devices for supporting the new higher internet speed but re-contract this opt in for another 24 months. It's somehow against the contract laws spirit. In the meantime, new sign-up, paying the same bucks, get new full set of devices to support the new higher internet speed - same 24 months contract. So it's clearly seen as TM Unifi's discrimination and unfair practice here. Challenge them & bring it up to CFM/MCMC.

2) termination notice period of 30D. Termination requires only TM's end to cut the connection, why need 30D notice period? its sole purpose is to make sure TM can squeeze last drop of blood from Unifi users. KEY POINT here: all unifi users are charged in advance, i.e. u gonna pay next month unifi charges now in order for the service to remain. So why need 30D notice period? TM is just trying all its dirty tricks to make sure monies are there within TM, no refund, no immediate revenue impact. Agn, challenge them, highlight this unfair practice to CFM/MCMC.

3) limited TM Point centres handle termination request. Simple, go highlight to CFM/MCMC immediately and let the regulator to review and take necessary actions if deemed fit and required.

MIND everyone here to take action to file complaint officially to CFM/MCMC. Without any official filings, CFM/MCMC will just treat it as IT IS PEACEFUL & u all like the UNIFI service & there is ntg wrong with the revised T&Cs which has not been duly communicated to all Unifi users via whatsoever channels (while marketing materials spamming users' mailbox and SMS)

Do it now, dont wait. Fruits would not drop in front of u if u are expecting others to do it for u. Number, number, number - we need number of complaints landed on CFM/MCMC then we may see changes/corrective instructions given/taken by the regulator.

they are using this card: "TM reserve the right to modify any clauses in TnCs without prior notice". This draconian clause is the leeway for them to commit such lowball act. SKMM them, this is oppressive. miloaisdino for more info, he is a legal expert rclxms.gif

Almost all face this issue. There are exceptions, got people managed to terminate without hassle, the TMpoint staffs did not use this card on them

I suppose u can demand them to prove this.

As permiloaisdino, look at the paper contract u sgined, if the paper say u can terminate at once, u can. The one u signed supercede any inconsistencies and is absolute.

Nevertheless, certain channels are only watchable thru TM's tv box apk. The apk u downloaded from play store is NOT the same as TM's own tv box's. Play store one is meant for mobile viewing.

In addition, watching thru your own TV box will encroach into your subscribed bandwidth imstead of dedicated 20Mbps vlan600 bandwidth solely meant for hypptv viewing.

U may ask hypptv thread, the community there have more expertise in this regard.

U may get used TV box, ask TM to bind mac id and activate hypptv login id/credentials. U are charged one time rm27 for that.
