Is their tm router reliable?  I heard my friend said they are lousy router..hmm
Any recommend webaite? Diff website give diff speed result, diff device diff result also :confuse:
*
tm speed test website or ookla speed test

btw you should do LAN test for more accurate speed, wifi speed will drop anytime due to many reasons and based on your device spec too

Hi guys, need some help.

My sis unifi account (unifi lite 10mpbs RM119 - about 3years) was transfer the ownership to me.
During applying Transfer of ownership, I was mention upgrade to RM129 100mbps.
Now everything is done. But question is I unable to get new modem & router from them?
I asked from live chat, the staff told me is for existing customer. it is unfair?
And they charge me for advance payment, was unifi billing charges is advance? - unifi staff said telco always charge advance.  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

Alternatively, you can just get your own router. Their stock router is crap anyway. Yes, they do charge you advance payment, but only for first two months, and after that, it will be based on your use monthly.

Just buy your own dual band with gigabit ethernet router, will definitely be better than the TM supplied router.

Guys, i plan to switch to 100mbps RM129 (from old price of 30 mbps RM209 : contract long expired...). Ive a couple of questions:
1. Is it an uninterrupted internet upgrade? Do i have to pay hidden charges for such upgrade?
2. When TM upgrade its infrastructures to fibre, will this new package which i will subscribe by this year, be eligible for turbo ? Or would just be upgraded to 100mbps. (Currently max for my area is 30mbps. Ive considered going for the RM79 package, but its not for unlimited data usage.).
3. Whats the penalty,if prematurely cancel the new 2 year contract?
4. Can I take out their TV bundle, which i never will watch anyway....?
Kindly advise. Thanks.

These questions are moot if your area doesn't even have fibre coverage. TM will not allow you to choose the 100 Mbps package. Best they can do is offer you a cut price contract on your current 30 Mbps package.
Better ask if your building which I assume is a high rise has got Time Fibre internet or not?
1. No hidden charges.
2. No further turbo upgrade.
3. Cancellation as per contract rules. Penalties and fees arise.
4. No.

Yes its high rise! No Time fibre internet.
So how much discount can i ask for or is there a std rate?
How do i request for such a discount? Go in person to their TM branch or just write in?

If your area cannot support higher than 30M, you cannot get this 100M package. Try to get your current price reduced. Some 30M users have got it down to RM119.
Try at TMPoint.

Using decent router: TP-Link Archer C7
Torrent setting: disable file pre-allocation & uTP rate limiting, connections ~100
Download to SSD

Hi..currently upgraded to turbo 300mbps..i can get around that speed with cable, tested at speedtest. But wifi cannot get that fast, since my laptop has the 802.11b network adaptor. So i bought D-link wireless N 300mbps. But the wifi speed gets slower that using my laptop's original wifi network. Anyone can help?

Currently using windows 10..

subscribed unifi at the end of 2017, so i think my router are up to date.

802.11b max speed around 11mbps, and the adapter is slower? blink.gif
Make sure it's plugged in to USB 2.0/3.0, latest driver installed, and check router settings too

My current unifiTV is Ultimate Pack, and I'm not really using this service since the 1st day of my Unifi.

But I tend to give it a try for the very 1st time, after I got myself a 2nd hand STB.

Lets say after that, if I want to change the Ultimate Pack to other pack like Ruby or Aneka, which is RM30 per month, do you think TM will allow this?

I can save RM30 more per month....
