Just upgraded my router to Asus AX11000 and I received max download speed of 500mbps on a 800mbps Unifi package with Asus USB-AC68. Wondering if I upgrade the wifi receiver to Asus PCE-AX58BT (AX3000), will I get wifi speed of 800mbps?

Thanks in advance.

What wireless speed you get when you set the 5GHz channel bandwidth to 80MHz / 160MHz?
(Wireless speed, not Speedtest result, refer to the screenshot below)

Important Note:
160MHz requires DFS scanning which your devices might not be able to connect for a few minutes after you've applied it. And some older devices won't support 160MHz too
GT-AX11000 is tri-band so you can set the 1st 5GHz to 80MHz and the other 5GHz to 160MHz

Not sure if the USB-AC68 supports 160MHz, you will have to test it on your own

Asus USB-AC68 does not support 160MHz and the setting on the router were left as auto.

As for the wireless speed, I need to recheck again tonight.

Change to 80MHz then test again & check the wireless speed as well after you change to 80MHz

Noted but I doubt Asus USB-AC68 can achieve 800mbps. Hence, the question of whether Asus PCE-AX58BT (AX3000) can hit 800mbps.

Thank you again. notworthy.gif

Just checked and the Wifi status speed is 1.3Gbps. Got no choice but to buy Asus PCE-AX58BT (AX3000) and test it myself. innocent.gif

Also, to be frank, the PCE-AX58BT is still using 2x2 stream
I would advise you to wait for something with 4x4 stream like the ASUS PCE-AC88 but wait until there's an AX version so you can get full speed of 4804Mb/s

Read a review of PCE-AX58BT and the reviewer mentioned that it hits 750mbps with Wi Fi 6. Hence, my tangan gatal wanted to try it myself. Hah
