Currently using Dlink AC1200 router that TM supplied. Just wondering, in my hostel got 10-11 devices connected to the network, if all of them connect to the 5ghz band will there be some bottleneck issues?

Was told by some to use 2.4ghz network for devices like phones and tablet to reduce a supposed "congestion" on the 5ghz band.

But does it really work that way?
