hi guys. was browsing and came upon this router, the Redmi AC2100 router on shopee, and was surprised the price was quite cheap wondering if there are anyone with experience using this router, whether will it work with Unifi? if custom firmware needed, is there any references available? thanks

how significant are the performance differences between TP-Link AX10, AX 20 and AX 50? both in terms of speed throughput as well as coverage as i've read several pages back, in wifi range it's AX50 > AX20>AX10
however there's also another discussion regarding processors being quad core, triple core and dual core.. would the performance differ by much? considering using it with unifi 800Mbps currently only 1 device(laptop) with wifi 6 support, the rest are ac/2.4 Ghz only

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Jul 2 2020, 08:59 PM) Get Archer AX20, the perfect entry level WiFi 6 model from TP-Link. Amazing performance, good stability and strong WiFi coverage. IMHO, I think AX3000 160Mhz is kinda pointless as it only looks good on paper. It doesn't work most of the time and only Intel AX200 supported it. All WiFi 6 phones don't support 160Mhz. Enabling 160Mhz will often decrease stability due to higher interference when operating at 160Mhz. All ASUS routers sold in Malaysia even disabled 160Mhz by default. You have to switch region and force it at 160Mhz only for it to work. great. Thanks for your reply. will be keeping an eye for that during 7.7 then. hopefully can snag one unit before it runs out

Good day all would like to get an opinion regarding wifi network at home
I am currently running TP-Link AX20, on unifi 800Mbps subscription. House type : intermediate double storey
i can get nearly full speed on wifi at the ground floor, but signal on the first floor is not as strong as on the ground floor. I am wondering is it better to get another AX20/onemesh router to boost the signal, or might as well change to mesh wifi solution i.e. Deco X20? thanks thanks

Hi sifu-sifu LYN
would like an advice on wireless mesh I am currently using the D-Link DPN-FX3060V combo box from unifi (black) with 500Mbps plan, currently using the combo box as modem + wifi router mode
if i want to add a wireless mesh to this combo box, would i need specific mesh extender/router from d-link or any AX model from them would work?
Or will it be more cost efficient/better performance to switch it to bridge mode and buy a 2 piece DECO mesh instead? will be using it in a two-storey intermediate terrace house
