Is setting up c2300 plug and play. Do we need to input our unifi username and password?

I just got the router today and I can't seem to connect to the Internet. In the router page it says Internet status is connecting.
In Windows network adapter options under ipv4 connectivity : no internet access

I couldnt find the place to input that. The 'Let's Get Started' does not show any option for this. Also in the Basic Tab, i couldnt find where to input the credentials

When using the "Quick Setup", it detected the internet connection type as Dynamic IP. I have changed it to PPPoE and now im able to input username and pw

My router is on the second floor and my TV is on the first floor. I am using HyppTV and the STB is connected via LAN cable to my router. The cable is embedded in the wall. It would be nice if i could add a network switch downstairs and connect other devices to it as well.

I understand it is not possible to connect to the internet using the iptv port of the router (LAN1 in my case as i am using TP-Link AC2300). Is there a way to add an ethernet switch connected to the HyppTV/IPTV LANport of the router and use 1 port of the switch to connect to HyppTV STB and other ports of the switch for wired connection to the internet?

I had the same problem with CAT-5E cable, initially it would show 1gbps. After couple of days when i check the Ethernet status it reverts back to 100mbps. After changing cable to CAT6 everything works well. Try changing the cable first.
