Dear all sifu,
Double storey house, router at 1st floor, wifi signal weak at ground floor.

currently using tuf ax3000, plan to add on or upgrade

1. Upgrade to Asus Ax86u?
2. Add on on more Tuf Ax3000?
3. Upgrade to zenwifi xt8?

Zenwifi xt8 Better or 2 x ax3000 better? Haha
Thanks sifu

XT8 without a doubt.

DIY AiMesh system will never beat the Tri-Band XT8. I even tried RT-AX88U 2 units and XT8 is still better.

blink.gif blink.gif Thanks for reply @blacktubi sifu ~ Means 2 x AX86u also cant beat XT8?

Yup , dedicated backhaul is really important in mesh WiFi that uses wireless backhaul only.

Hello Sifus,

2 story house, current using AX56u AX1800 as main (2nd Floor Center),
and AX55 at ground floor living hall center as Node.
Now facing outside car porch 3 x Wireless CCTV always show unstable network

Plan to upgrade or add on, got consider
1. Tuf AX6000 as main, AX56u and AX55 as node
2. XT8 Twin Pack Replace both old Router?

Or Sifus can advise better upgrade or setup? Tq very much

I would say it's even more worth it at the current discounted price.

AX86U PRO checks all the boxes. Flagship grade coverage, tried and tested firmware, able to support a ton of clients on 2.4GHz. Most importantly, it's super stable and I think that's important for a router.

The latest RT-BE86U is only slightly faster in terms of WiFi performance. While CPU got a huge performance bump, it does't matter unless you are using those ASUSWRT bells and whistle.
