For my home I am using the Western Digital 'My Cloud'. Its resonably priced and works for my needs. You can buy it offf the shelve and setting it up is pretty straight forwards using the supplied manuals. Just do not expect lightning speeds but it does the job. If you are using it for data storage, then it will suffice. I invested about RM500 for a 3TB unit.
