Why...............It's a good movie....why not in Cinema....

There's a LOT of good movies that don't make it to our shores.

Some due to censorship issues.

Some because the distributors doesnt think it will make money here. (Our viewers generally are less enthusiastic about movies without loud noises and lotsa actions. see majority of the movies discussed in lyn forums)

Who knows what other reasons movies don't make it here.

Nope, don't think it'll be coming here as well. Just watched it from other sources.

Letters way better than Flags. I think hitting the grenade on helmet is part of mechanism to trigger the primer.

Letters of Iwo is very sad, nothing sadder to see a friendship being tested so severely as this movie. Flag of Our Fathers is also very sad, it is hard to watch actually.

Iwo Jima was brilliant, much better than Flags. I understand both approaches of the movies were different but it can't be denied Letters was a much better movie.

Because it's a thinking movie, and thinking movies arent popular here. Making people think during movie-watching , makes them hate the movie even more.

that film is ABOUT war propaganda, but it's not propaganda-ish. certain films promotes the american way, ideals, glory and so on. this film depicts the whole war propaganda adopted by the US and attempts to tell the real story behind the photo of the flag raising that was so iconic to the americans.

examples of films that preaches propaganda ALOT are like black hawk down, independence day and so on.

no idea why letter never made it here. btw, if u hv to choose btw these 2, letter is much better then flag. flag has great potential but the execution is really flaw. flag juz fail to engage the audience.

The most probably answer is its a subtitle movie. Most M'sian are too lazy to read unless there's a hot Korean actor in it or there's Sadako.
