Touch IC? Do you mean the touch function is not working on the phone? If one of the touch IC problem then you need someone who can fix using de-soldering and soldering. Not many people in Malaysia can do that. You need to also find out exactly which IC chip is causing the problem. That is why even official repair centers just change the whole motherboard.

It is a very delicate and tough job. Just wondering how much are you willing to pay to fix that?

What you said about the common touch disease might not be the case for your iphone. Sometimes it could be other ICs causing the problem. A good phone repair specialist would test to find out which is the exact IC causing the problem.

This is just like how car repairs are done here by lousy mechanics. They just change parts that is commonly thought of as the problem and sometimes it is not the case and you end up going to the workshop again and again until the change the correct parts. However you end up paying for all the parts they changed.

Anyway, assuming it is the digitizer chips like you said, changing it would be more to workmanship. If I am doing the repair, I would not accept anything less than RM300 just for the work. The repair takes at least halfday to do and test. However, I am just a hobbyist phone repair man and I don't do soldering works. So any professional phone repair man can correct me if I am wrong.

Anyway, have you tried doing this?

Worth trying.

Edit: Also have you checked with Apple Official Support center? Seems like there might be offer for this repair by Apple at low price since they do admit iphone 6 series having this issue.
