I wonder, out of all model kits that you build so far, which one is the most complex/hard/detail? It doesn't matter either gundam, keroro, plane, ship or anything.

For me, its Five Star Stories(FSS) kits. I have 2 FSS kits, 1/144 Knight of Gold Lachesis and 1/100 LED Mirage w/Flame Launcher. For the most part, the kit's parts must be assembled with glue. And since I am an OOB modeller, I find it hard to found out that my kit must be fully painted (Knight of Gold must be fully painted to gold, because all runner is yellow-colored, LED Mirage must be painted white, because all its runner color is greenish;the actual base color for LED Mirage is suppose to be white, yet the manufacturer didn't bother to at least make the runner color white also)
As a result, I didn't finish assembling those two yet. For detailed kits, the most detailed one I had built is Armored Core Gaea kits. Most of its part is molded separately, even the tiny booster |

Same here. The FFS resin kits especially are really challenging to built, but when done they look amazing.

lol
acguy damn easy to build usually it depends on the modeller..how long he/she takes to build the kits... as for me..unpainted and uneverything means i can finish in 1 hours or less.. but if i paint and everything..sometimes can take a month to finish..lol..day by day do bits by bits... the 'cute' acguy took freaking 15hours of my time and its without paint!
what is the best steps for most newbies to get into painting? anyway, is there any database for full model description? its hard to get information for all model available in market. |

lol sometime the amount of time used for building a kits depends on the modeller itself. Like me can take a few months for a kit, even cutting it out of the runner and fixing them together will take 1 months time. this is becoz i waste a lot of time to fixed those small small parts of extra plastic that are left over from the runner.

go to brickcommander.com , click on 100 ton models and search for the Stone Rhino. it should be under the clan section. It's the Mechwarrior version of a Macross mecha.
it's in bloody lego parts. took me ages to source every freakin thing , and then an order fell thru and i'm stuck with half the shell so that is complex ... in the sense that i need to start from scratch |

Gundam? I guess that would be some of the Bclub resin kits. Hi-nu comes to mind. Its much nicer then the MG version too.

try get a fake model and build it, it's even harder to build than a pg.
one of my fren told me he got pg 1/60 wing zero custome for ard rm200++ but assembly is more like to build an entire new one.. haha.. Added on June 15, 2007, 4:13 pmi mean the flaws are unsurprisingly unlimited.. more works than doing a resin kit.. This post has been edited by erh_teo: Jun 15 2007, 04:13 PM |

Most frustrating for me will be a resin kit, of a Rune Masquer. Getting the damn wings to stay on was a nightmare.
Apart from that, there's the various Warhammer 40K + Fantasy 25mm figurines that I've done. |
