This is my pc spec

Full spec:

Intel Core I5 3570k@4.2Ghz

Asus P8Z77-V LK

Kingston HyperX Genesis 4GB DDR3 1600Mhz X4

Samsung 850 Evo 250gb SSD

Western Digital Blue 500gb HDD

Asus Strix Gtx 1060 GDR5 6GB

Cooler Master GX650W 80plus Bronze

Cooler Master HAF912 Mid Tower Case

I swap out a new PSU due to the old one getting old and kept leading my GPU to black screen. After replacing it the GPU problem is fixed. But i kept hearing buzzing sound from my psu from time to time. Even when the unit is shutdown.

Is this normal? Or do i need to get a replacement?

My recommendation is... when in doubt and if unit is still new and in warranty period, send it in for testing and checking. If within 1 week, sometimes they can do 1 to 1 exchange with a new one, if they tested the new one is not buzzing...

If it is sent for warranty claim, it will take a while but at least you are taking steps to protect your rig. It is not RM300 wasted to get another unit, think of it as potentially saving RM3000 worth in gaming components.

I mean it happened before with my GPU. There were 2 8pin connector for the GPU. i swap out the other 8pin and it works like wonder.

Could it be an issue with the power cable?

Try directly connecting your PSU to the wall socket or change to another wall socket. It could also be the extension multi-socket issue. Those cheap ones has low quality contact areas for the socket.
