 Can We Control Shipment Date With Lazada Shipping?

Need some help. If buying from Lazada, is it possible that we can call the shipping company to arrange for them to deliver the item on a specific day? Anybody has experience with buying from Lazada but calling the shipping company to arrange for the delivery of item on the day when you are in the house?

No.

Courier will contact u during delivery (not every time) and u can arrange from there. I usually tell them to leave at GDEX office in Damansara Perdana and pick up later (max is 7 days before they send it back to sender).

Thanks for the information. That is too bad. That means somebody will need to be at the house to receive the item.

When the date of delivery is stated as 4 to 8 days, I presume the delivery will be made within this time frame in reality and not 9 or 10 days after?

sometime they may say delivery in 9 days but made it in 4 days.

thats why i always go self collect whenever the item arrived at the branch.

i called after check delivery status onine and called the branch to inform that i will self collect. they will save ur item at their branch.

i once pickup late after 2 weeks due outstation with Pos Laju,

Thanks for the responses guys. Just an update. It depends a lot on the Customer service officer who is at the Live Chat at Lazada as different officers are giving different answers. At first I got one officer who told me that I cannot contact the delivery person from the shipping company to arrange for the delivery to my address when i asked her for the contact number of the delivery man. She said she doesn't have the contact. That's it I guess.

I then contacted Live Chat another day and a different lady attended to me. I asked the same question and guess what, she gave me the contact number (handphone) of the delivery guy from TheLorry.

So in the end, yes you are right that buyers can actually contact the shipping company guy to arrange for the delivery date and possibly the time also. However, it depends on who you are getting at Live Chat. With this experience, if I meet another Live Chat officer who said there is no way I can have the contact number of the delivery guy to arrange for the delivery, I would know that he is not giving the right advice.

By the way, the delivery company is not GDEX but TheLorry. So my case may be different from the shipments which are by GDEX. TheLorry is a shipment company for items sold by Lazada and not individual sellers on the website.
