install this latest beta need to install windows update agent 1st...

* This version now requires Windows XP SP2, compared to previous versions requiring Windows XP SP1.
* In conjunction with the release of Windows Live 2.0, a new setup program was introduced.
* It is now installed to a 'Windows Live' folder in the drive where Windows is installed, and the shortcuts are placed in a 'Windows Live' folder in the Start Menu.
* All Messenger windows have a new look.
* A new 'bunny' emoticon has been added.
* Windows Live OneCare Family Safety integration was added.
* Updates can now be downloaded and installed through Microsoft Update, but only if you installed the update to version 8.5 Beta, released on June 21, 2007.
* Microsoft has blocked the sending and receiving of all .info links in conversations.

there is a option for adding your contacts picture .. go check them out .. and i tried some of the new features looks really cool even tho mine is just a XP no probs so far

when the official want will release?

Been using this WLM 8.5 Beta 2 for a 2 weeks now.works with my existing Plus patch.just that i cant remove the ad below the contacts area.

u try with a-patch or mess pacth b4?

Hey i find this new msn will make my comp freeze for a couple of seconds every now and then in DOTA. if i off msn before i game, it will be ok no freeze. There is no one nudging or msging me.
anyone got such problem?

yeah before this my WLM was on mess patch.i just installed the latest WLM 8.5 and installed the latest mess patch and everything works save for the ad at the bottom.my previous PLUS add-on is still intact.

nope i dont get that kind of problem when playing dota.
