I'd urge the ferrari fans to stop brewing fire in here.

This is only the proof that was retrieved from his home so far. You will never know how much and for how long that the info he has apparently been receiving from Stepney.
It is unlikely that McLaren will be slow after this allegation as their cars is proven to be fast (at least for the whole 2007 season). The question is how well will Ferrari improve after the sacking of Stepney and will it be too late for them to mount an 'attack' on the championships. It would be quite absurb to punish the 2 McLaren drivers. All we could do is to wait and see what actions or 'punishment' will be handed down by FIA. |

It might be possible that McLaren's WCC will be thrown out.
Apelonso and Lewis points being deducted. This post has been edited by Raikkonen: Jul 6 2007, 08:28 AM |

QUOTE(verx @ Jul 5 2007, 11:15 AM) Well well Couldn't resist to throw the bait rite? Guess it's for me Ferrari fans must have had a field day yesterday with all the news flying ard. Here are my thoughts as u have so humbly requested First of all i find it very hard to believe that a man of Stepney's stature and reputation would do such a thing. He had been with Ferrari for 13 years and was one of the instrumental figures in their revival with Schumi, Brawn and gang. I'm going to say that he's innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. As for McLaren, again i find it very hard to believe that a big corporation would risk so much to intentionally "steal" information from a rival team. It just doesn't make any sense. Why get into all that legal trouble? Mike Coughlan has been caught with his pants down and because of that he has brought McLaren's reputation into disrepute. I don't think the team knew much about it and that Mike have acted on his own accord. I think it's good that McLaren has so far been very cooperative on the matter and I don't think they used any of that Ferrari data found in Mike's house. Why do i think that? Because an F1 car is complex enough that u can't just steal info from another car in April, having built yours way back in 2006, and just modify yours with the new info and expect the car to suddenly fly. So imo the suggestions that McLaren's good reliability and speed this season is because of the "stolen info" are just plain ridiculous and Ferrari fans are just being threatened by our good showing so far this season. You guys can do better than that. |

emotional ron dennis "crying" again
bob, mclaren dont need to ask coughlan to steal info. Those info got leaked from ferrari themself, given as a "present" to a friend at mclaren by MR. stepney. Maybe most of you have forgot that stepney is unhappy with his position, because he was not promoted and being asked to work at the factory. Poor fella worked beside schumi, helped schumi and the team won so many championships, yet being asked to work at the factory. if you are in his position, what would you do ? maybe cowards like you and I would just leave the company. I guess he's an adventurous guy afterall for causing so much trouble now Added on July 6, 2007, 3:46 pmbah they always whine and mow ... . the same as ferrari This post has been edited by blah1134: Jul 6 2007, 03:49 PM |
