Watch ESPN lor dude. Anyways, Fernando does not have engine problem, thus he will start 10th. <-- taken from Crash.net report. Teh commentators are overly enthutiast like always. They don't know that Fernando does not have engine problem and yet like confirm he will start 20th

Arrogant? More likely that the press manipulated his interviews. And FYI, Ron Dennis controls all of Lewis's interviews, and that is to prevent the same thing. The "Alonso is Arrogant" issue blew incidently when British's Daily Mail was barred from doing an interview with Lewis by Ron, which lead to an agry retort by it's editor, and that same paper was the one that started all this, which is picked up by all teh other papers around teh world. Go figure.

Yep, I hated their commentary. And listen closely you hear they said "And SURELY Fernando Alonso will start at the back row of the grid with Takuma Sato"
The saddest thing is RTM delayed ITV's telecast untill 12 am tonight.

QUOTE(ryansxs @ Jul 1 2007, 11:23 AM)
Yeah you are right....guess what? The biggest losers in here, still cannot accept the fact that alpanso won last year and this year he couldn't even manage to keep up with his teammate, the ROOKIE!!  Tell the whole world that the rookie's car got extra cylinder!
*
Yes, and some of you are also forgetting facts that unlike Lewis who already used the Bridgstone during GP2 last season (Bridgestone use GP2 for gunie pig to test harder compound for this season as there will be no more Michelin), and the fact that both he and Kimi are still struggling to drive on those tyres, and the fact that he and Kimi both comes from teams that uses Michelin and also he had to change how he drives. Driving an F1 car is not like how you drive your kancil. Each team had their own preferences on how the car handles, the oversteer or understeer, weight balance, aerodynamics etc. Case of point both Kimi (before retirement) and Fernando struggled for grip at Catalunya, while Massa and Lewis found it easily enough. Both are having to drive cars that are vastly different from what they are used to. Both having to drive cars that were designed using testing data of their taemmates (Massa and Lewis). You cannot just say, "Oh, he have a fast car, he should be faster". That is pure bullshit and ignorance to the sport and the driver. It took Schumacher 5 years to turn the Ferrari into a car that handles like he wanted. Damon Hill persuaded Tom Walkinshaw to redesign the 1997 Arrows when he found it different to his liking, and they nearly won the Hungarian GP if not for a failure 5 laps near the end.
And when you say a rookie, today's definition of a rookie is different than 10 years ago. While Lewis IS a rookie, he was hyped too much by the British media IMO. Unlike 10 years ago, the difference between lower classes and Formula One IS HUGE. Now GP2 cars lap just 1.5~2 SECOND SLOWER THAN A FORMULA 1 CAR. And with all the limits that the FIA is making to F1, sooner or later GP2 will leapfrog it's premiar class senior in term of car technology. Thus that's why more and more team are wanting GP2 drivers. The only REAL rookie that come into F1 in the last 5 years was Kimi, who jumped straight from Formula Renault into F1. Look at last season's so called Rookie, Nico Rosberg. Mark webber had a hard time keeping up with him. Heck, he even set the fastest lap of the race in Bahrain. He is constantly faster than Wurz this season, why no hype on him? Simple, he is not British.
Next time you want to make an argument, back it with facts. Not useless media spindoctor stories that they make up just to spike up their sales.
