1) You bought from Apple physical store with proper receipt

2) Last port of disembarkation is Singapore airport

3) You manage to get stock on the same day you are going.

Why would China set has different chip and parts, and water resistance will not be as good due to dual sim slot?

You do know that no matter where you buy your iphone from, it will still be made in the same factory in China right?

When Apple claims the Xs and Xs Max are IP68, then the phone has to pass certain tests to qualify it for IP68 compliancy. So unless you are doubting Apple QC controls.

Do you know that using different chip and parts will actually increase the costs of production as Apple will have to come up with different parts for phones of different regions, as you claimed.

The dual sim slot is similar to your normal sim slot, only that it is made to accomodate two sims on on top and on on the bottom. Many android phones are already dual sim already.



The only difference I could think of between phones of different regions would be network bandwidth. But I will have to wait for the spec sheet to come out first before confirming.

This is the same disscussion we had for all launches of new generation of Iphones ever since. Rule of thumb, buy only Apple Store sets, especially when you are buying oversea sets. Two, pray and hope AASPs here wont turn away your foreign set. I myself had only claimed once for an apple store sg set with MacCity. But the staff did mention they are helping me out by sending the unit back to SG for claims and this is a case to case basis. Meaning that they could reject your set as it is not a My set.

AASPs here dont repair your phones here for RMA cases. Your units are sent back to Apple Sg for repairs and they will replace your phone with a seed unit.

You have a point there. Might as well get the XS if you could afford it or get an Iphone 8 for that money.

There is no international warranty for iphones. Go through Apple's terms and conditions of the warranty again.

If you are using the Iphone 7, the XS will do just fine. But not if you are using the 7+. I went from the 7+ to the X and I fret the small screen.

50% of those queing up or rather 60% are scalpers. Like the last round of the Iphone X launch, many of them made at least SGD$1000 of from scalping 1 unit of Iphone. Btw, each person queuing is allowed to buy two units. So if you queue overnight, you could stand to make make SGD $2000 from it, this is good money.
