nah... ive learned my mistake. no urge to get the ipxs early. its still the same ipx. thus will get it around 11/11 during lazada sale. there might be a rm300 discount code. last time promo during 11/11 was huge.. 5.2k drop to 4.9. and then another discount drop to 4.2k thats 1k savings.

So there you go. dont ever buy during launch day.

Since Lazada became an official reseller last year what we learned is that if you’re willing to wait a little, you can get it cheaper than compared to the Apple Store

Another trick from Apple to make people think it is 120Hz refresh rate. There is no upgrade whatsover for the IP XS. They just bump up the processor.

You could, but there would be no guarantee China versions will share the same network bands with the international versions.

I don't put it as 'dissapointing' as my feelings towards Apple for this launch, but rather I wasn't expecting much from Cupertino. Apple has been squeezing consumers all along with its 'premium' pricing, mediocre upgrades and packages. It's really up to your personal choice to purchase their products, vs so many worthy competitor products from other manufacturers. For Apple, it would be max profits as there will be people who still will buy their products, irregardless.

That's the way Apple rolls. To be honest, there's been not much excitement since they revealed the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 4 before that. Every other iPhone released has been small, incremental updates in spite of the bombastic words they use during the keynotes

iPhone X has been discontinued and retailers are now clearing their stocks at 4,299 and 4,999 for the 64GB and 256GB respectively. It'll probably be sold out by the time the Xs reaches, but you're right, there's no compelling reason to upgrade from the X to the Xs.

Exactly, and to be fair, I think we've reached the point whereby there's only so much you can do for a new phone unless you want something gimmicky like a slide out camera? The Note 9 was in many ways also a very small upgrade over the Note 8 and yet I don't see Samsung getting as much flak as Apple. Probably also due to the ridiculous price Apple charges to maximize their profit, as you rightly put it.

The Note 9 was cleverly marketed by Samsung. It didn't get a huge bump in pricing. There was no major upgrade from the Note 8 except an upgrade in battery life, new stylus to name a few. It didn't change in the design/looks department. But Samsung played it smart and right this round, no major increase in price and there was a preorder gift which was the Gear Sport which was worth Rm1299 which came with the preorder package. This made the preorder package a really good buy as it meant that the phone was being sold for much lower than its rrp of Rm3699. As usual, I got bored with the phone in less than a week after using it, but hey I'm not complaining, I got a free watch which I was unwilling to buy at first at Rm1299, and that makes it a very worthy and value buy.
