Hankook is no longer cheap tyre liao. Even 1 up to local Silverstone.

If they kept local brand, i can only think of Silverstone. Silverstone tyres are better than China brand ones, but not better than Koreans. These are for local passenger car tyres. Not performance tyres. In fact Toyo bought Silverstone some years ago. So there may be Toyo formula in the new Silverstones. But Toyo tyres are really much sought after also. People would rather go for Yokohama or Falken that cost more.

18" tall suv tires. How many people you know that drives SUV wheels that big?

In fact Korean tyres seems to be nearing European brand quality already. I have been seeing a company who uses performance cars as a taxi ride business on the Nurburing and they are liking Nangkang performance tires compared to the Pilot Cup that costs more. But that is because the cost and almost comparable performance for business usage. That info may or may not be useful to us. But that is a general idea what quality Korean tyres are today.
