Yep , I also doesn't like how the coins works. If you said code only apply on certain seller preferred for merchant what about buyer ?
I found a lot of item cannot redeem with coins at all.I also wonder why as for a buyer.Shouldn’t it able to redeem on every merchant ? I am talking on redeem coins not voucher.
Voucher cannot use on seller A , nevermind , but even coins cannot be redeem on seller A.
The seller A just getting lower score rating day by day.At the end change platform.Laz back again.
mind explain more ? how bigpay works ?
You should buy from Shopee Mall and Preferred Sellers only. You can always use the coins there including buying voucher and gift-cards. I feel secured if I am buy Shopee Mall and Preferred Sellers as they are "regulated" by Shopee.
Shopee provides a platform to everyone to become a seller, you and I can be a seller anytime, but it can lead to abuse, eg selling fake products or services. When Shopee didn't charge seller in the past, you could create some accounts to sell a product/service to yourself, so you could convert the gift (voucher/coins/incentive) to cash in your savings account or to win some credit/debit card games by creating some transactions in Shopee.
For Bigpay,
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4623336Shopee users can buy the Bigpay/Boost/Grabpay/TnG/TNB credit from any seller they feel comfortable. Good days has gone as Shopee will charge 2% from 15/7/19. So the seller may charge +2.5% extra. Some people are willing to buy from them as it can bypass their CC's rules (eg Maybank ceases to give cashback on TNB transactions from 1/6/19 and e-wallet transactions from 8/7/19). So if you buy from a preferred seller, you can redeem shopee coins to convert to cash indirectly.
