QUOTE(kentcp @ Mar 25 2010, 09:57 AM) No worry, keep think it on possitively.. Soon it will over when your teeth moved. Some of us already passed through the period. Pain always is good for braces, as the teeth start moving.. Cheers.. Will the wire gets thicker itself? Added on March 25, 2010, 10:01 am Den, for Damon system that I used, it have no feel for first 2 days. On 3rd day, I only feel the pain in gradually for near to week. This is normal, as the 1st wire is still very thin.. soon, it will change to thicker and thicker, whenever it change or re-position, you will feel the pain for few day. I really wonder how does the self-ligating wire work. Anyone with underbite problem. I am one of them. Hopefully all will go well and surgery not needed. |

QUOTE(d_chew @ Mar 26 2010, 09:18 AM) Same here..everynight eating porridge...been a week for me already and i started to feel bored. I am in my mid 20s. One thing to share, I think when one grows older, the teeth movement are slower...which means longer treatment...perhaps orthodontic are really for young ones...Can't think the fact I am into 'uncle' era now. Should have done it when I was in college. Sigh. Other than porridge what you guys swallow? LOL. How long it takes for me to be able to speak properly? |

My ortho never ask me to use any specific toothpaste.
Until now I still don't feel any pain. =.= So that means my teeth not moving at all? =( You guys have already done extraction? Or put on braces first, then only extraction? |

QUOTE(hjh87 @ Apr 18 2010, 10:35 AM) Haha, whole 2 week eat rice only>>eh swallow rice only haha. I haven had any porridge yet. Before I put on lower braces and the blocker I think I will had nice food first : ) My first week I ate porridge only. Then now is my third week, I've already eat rice normally. I can see very small progress on two teeth, which moved outward a few mm and now almost same height with my two front teeth Can't wait for next week, maybe time for me to do teeth extraction already. QUOTE(karynkhoo @ Apr 24 2010, 08:06 AM) I eat everything including steak, I mean those tender ones la. haha. i was advised to brush my teeth after every meal, and so i did I only brush my teeth twice a day, which is morning and before sleep. Other times, I just gargle with water after meal. Just make sure you really brush your teeth thoroughly the 2 times, will do. That's what I have been doing, so far is ok for me... brushing also involving 3 steps... using normal brush for braces, then those bristle brush, then finally gargle with mouthrinse. ma fan |

QUOTE(barium @ May 1 2010, 02:37 AM) hmm.yup ur rite...i thk i'll have to postpone dat afta i graduate.somehow, i can understand how my parents feel, and i wouldn wnt to burden them as well..haiz, another 2 years to wait... ya. just do it after grad if you cant do it now. i have also delayed my dream to have a nice set of teeth. ohya...its thr any charge for 1st time walk in?? i mean for Dr.Hows i'm getting my teeth done in David Orthodontist, a recommendation from my friend and the dentist I visited. location is quite convenient for me like what kentcp said, for normal bite, the bottom teeth will hide behind the upper teeth. i am unfortunate to have underbite problem where the bottom teeth is slightly in front of the upper teeth. did some research regarding underbite and i was unhappy to see ppl having underbite problem need to undergo jaw surgery. luckily the orthodontist didnt say anything about jaw surgery during the consultation. |
