Hahaha because I think it's easier to relate to a girl's tolerance of pain. Guys are usually more tough and when they say it doesn't hurt, it still does !!

NikkiDaTeddy, hahah I totally understand the numb feeling ! Like I cannot gargle properly, all the water spilling out of my mouth. He repositioned my screw 2 days ago. I think after the numbness wears off, it is a little painful. I didn't take the painkiller because he didn't prescribe it to me >< I did take Panadol acti-fast because cannot tahan =x

gila99, the surgery cost RM650 per wisdom tooth.

Hmm a bit costly, but he does it very carefully smile.gif Both of mine has fully healed. Nola you cannot feel the pain because he will give u anaesthetia and keep testing to make sure its fully numb and you cannot feel. Erm one of mine was under the gums also, so he kind of like open up the gums and remove the tooth. No worries smile.gif

hanszzz_86, screws are depending on your condition one. For my case, its to lessen my gummy smile and bring my lower jaw backwards. Putting screws usually isn't painful, the painful part is the ulcers and the existence of the screw which makes the side of your cheeks a little uncomfortable

deadangel, don't worry ! The screws are not pain one. The first time was painful because its loose and doctor didn't screw it deep enough. If he put it deeper, its not painful smile.gif

FOnte, its only like the first 1-3days after tightening you find yourself not being able to eat hard food. After that I'm perpetually eating anything, so don't worry ! However, hard biscuits I try to avoid & also I can't eat apple by just biting it. Got to cut into pieces first. So don't worry !

On a side note, I'm feeling really happy today because I took out the old pictures Dr How gave me and I see a quite huge improvement ! Definitely gotta be better when I de-brace ! Excited biggrin.gif

livon6699, I'll try my best after finals biggrin.gif

FOnte, I think we're in the same boat. But I decided not to undergo surgery & just allow screws to help me at its maximum ! It's alright, our imperfections makes us up !

ddeee, based on what i think, i doubt he will do it for you. usually braces case, they don't entertain non-patients. but you can call up and ask. they're located in bangsar, very near to bangsar village.

Added on May 30, 2011, 2:54 pmthanks mengher & FOnte. I hope nothing happens before my next appointment !

FOnte, i'll try to post my improvement after my final exams smile.gif

bauTan, of course braces would make it better and not worse. Honestly, many people have this problem of senget face. Just that some are more obvious, some are less obvious. Braces won't correct that 100% but it will make a change. Trust me lah, if there was anything I regretted, it would be getting my braces so late. No one would regret getting braces in my opinion.

sad.gif Just had two screws into my upper gums today. Regretted getting 2 at once! Pain is too much to bear (after LA wears off).

deadangel, how come you still bleed? How long ago were they extracted ?

hmm not yet, i still have a few months more smile.gif you might have remembered wrongly. oh blood taste is normal for the first few days. try checking your wound and see? usually if there is no infection, it will heal just fine smile.gif don't worry too much unless there's excessive bleeding.
