The power chain that was installed looks like the upper silver chain this picture (someone else's picture). Hurt so bad when it was installed!!! Didn't think it was gonna hurt that mad! But the pain was only felt during the installation, probably because my teeth were not straight enough so the force to pull the teeth together causes pain... Maybe other people won't feel as painful as I did...

You guys can watch how it is installed <here>.

YEs, during installation is damn painful cos have to force it in to hook it at the bracket or screw. The holes of the powerchain is very small but its is elastic, so the will feel pain when doctor force it in.

My treatment? Doctor didnt say anything, basically i think my treatment is dragging cos doctor didnt like my gummy smile. So he is doing his best to give me a best smile i deserve. smile.gif

tomatonz we really should ! I'm so super afraid, the thought of inserting something into my gums ! =( And yes I finally understood why you said inserting powerchain was painful. When he apply force on my teeth, it hurts madly ! Dr How can also sometimes be abit rough (rushing) since he always has so many patients.

Nikki, at least you're halfway there ! I'm still starting sad.gif Ugh the rubberbands looks pretty damn complicated !

Powerchain acts as an elastic band. Can close gaps of the front teeth faster. Other than closing gaps, doctor how use it for minimizing gummy smile treatment. Got it?

Whether u need it or not, depends whether u hv gaps at yr front teeth or under going minimizing gummy smile treatment. FYI not all doctors will do gummy smile treatment for u.

Its ok, my dear. IF u change your appt to one week later it will still be the same. Just think, it might drag ur treatment longer too? Just go for it. At least u already had 4 days to relax abt it and u got a better idea about how it will be already after we seniors discussed abt it here.

No worries. A lot of ppl tend to freak out when they hear abt inserting screws. Actually its nothing, by the time with the injections of anesthetics, u wont feel anything edy. Just get a day off to rest after that only lo.

Ya, each screw is RM 350.

True enough not everyone needs treatment for gummy smile. If you don't show a lot of gum when you smile then you should be fine... Gummy smile needs to be treated because it just show a lot of gum when you smile and from a far it makes you look as though you have think lips haha and it's not really nice to see... The doctor will tell you what treatments you require.

Just happen that there are several people here having gummy smile problem hahah...

Whoa...ceramic package cost RM9,900?! Hmm...Suggest you seek 2nd opinion / cost-packages from other ortho. There may be other incidental cost, e.g extraction, dental supplies, etc...and it will add up.
