Ya, there are many type. Damon itself also got a few types cos every now and then, there will be newer version coming out..
Before i decide to wear braces also i didnt know there are so many types. Until i found this thread. I was skeptical so read the whole thread.
Then i understand better and well prepared for the treatment.

Anyone knows if it's advisable to do teeth whitening/veneer before putting on braces? I'm planning to fix a stain tooth with veneer n whiten my teeth before getting a braces.

I think the need of wisdom teeth extraction depends on your condition. For my case, I extracted 1 wisdom tooth when having braces. I was advised by my ortho to remove my wisdom tooth before the completion of my braces treatment.

which mean metal or clear ceramic will be more effective of tightening the tooth?
*
My ortho told me that metal works slightly faster than ceramic braces, but the difference is not significant. Most people say that metal/ceramic works the same, no difference. Hence, I think even though there might me slight difference, that is negligible.

As for me, my wisdom tooth was half way out before wearing braces. Den the wisdom tooth slowly pop out as when i'm on the treatment, then doctor decided to remove both my upper wisdom tooth. Cos they are growing too long and end up biting myself.

Actually the set of bracket for your treatment does not include for wisdom tooth. So removing them before or during treatment wont affect much...

Hi all...

Just to share with you all the results so far after almost 70 weeks of wearing braces. The upper one was installed on Dec 11, 2009. I'm still not sure how long I still need to wear them yet. I've been through a lot of mental and physical pain throughout these period but I believe it's worth it.

Those who are still hesitant about going for braces, I would say, just go for it. Beauty comes with a price but it's definitely going to put a nice smile on your face and increase the self confidence too.

I went to see Dr. How yesterday and he said I can debond anytime. I thought can debond yesterday, but he said there are too many patients waiting, not enough time to do debonding.

I have to make another appointment for debonding. Unfortunately, Dr. How is really busy. His schedule is really packed until next week. I can't wait anymore, hence I opt for Dr. Raymond to debond for me tomorrow. Finally... I can take off my braces... Hope everything goes smoothly.

To the seniors here, I've some questions... I was told during consultation last time that I need to do another time of x-ray and mold after debonding. Is that true? After that, can I take back my mold and x-ray (before and after braces)?

I just extracted a tooth and it was painful. The doctor gave me one course (which is two shots) of LA. I wonder if i can ask for 2 course (four shots total) of LA for my next appointment?
Or anyone can suggest sedation dentist?

All my teeth extraction was done under GA (general anesthesia) at a government specialist hospital and warded into the daycare center. So, I'm not sure how to reply that.

My wisdom tooth was extracted at Dr. How's. He gave me 3-4 shots (forgot exact count) and it's painless.

It's the Putrajaya Hospital and you need to have a referral letter from your dentist. They do not accept walk-in unless you are a resident of Putrajaya. The cost of every thing is just RM50. I had my 4 wisdom tooth extracted there.
